“I was not the center of anyone’s attention in school, rather sitting on the outskirts,” Masashi confessed in an interview about his childhood.
In elementary school, Kishimoto became “completely addicted” to the manga series “Dragon Ball.”

It has been translated into several languages, including French, German, English, Korean, and Chinese.
In 2010, the manga series won the 16th Spanish Manga Barcelona award.
“I think readers see themselves in Naruto, and that’s what appeals to them,” Kishimoto told Los Angeles Times while trying to explain Naruto’s success.
Naruto: The Seventh Hokage and the Scarlet Spring, a spin-off of Naruto, was released in 2015. The plot is set after the epilogue of Naruto.
Boruto: Naruto the Movie was released in 2015. It made over $39.5 million at the box office.
Boruto: Naruto Next Generations began serialization in May 2016. The story follows the adventures of Boruto Uzumaki, the son of Seventh Hokage Naruto Uzumaki, as he and his friends explore their world and grow into powerful ninjas. On this project, Kishimoto is a supervisor until Vol. 13.
In April 2017, The Boruto: Naruto Next Generations premiered in Japan on TV Tokyo.
In 2018, the video game Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker was released.
