Unsure of how best to use the unfamiliar equipment in the gym, Reif approached a member of staff and asked their advice. However, she found that they gave her a generic plan that wasn’t designed with her personal needs in mind, and she was dissatisfied with the results.
Reif began to lean heavily into cardio exercises.
She supplemented these with some weightlifting and group classes.
Unfortunately, she found that she was unable to build up any muscle mass in this way, and that she became even skinnier than she already was.
Reif decided to drop almost all the cardio she was doing and focus on weightlifting alone.
She recalled seeing the male gym-goers focusing almost exclusively on weights, and she thought that it looked “more fun than a treadmill.”
Her new focus on weights, along with a diet rich in nutrients, saw her physique improve dramatically.
Her legs and glutes became firmer and more toned, and her arms quickly gained mass.
Her midsection, which had long been too skinny for her liking, became ripped and toned, with clearly defined abs.

Pamela decided to start sharing pictures and videos of her workouts on social media.
She was hugely surprised by the massive following that she quickly cultivated; her first YouTube video, uploaded in April of 2016, was a 10-minute intense ab workout. The video was incredibly successful, and continues to be so; as of August 2023, the video had garnered almost 16 million views.
Reif continued to upload new workout videos, and her channel rapidly became a massive success.
Almost all of her videos have views at least into the millions, with some gaining as many as 90 million views.
“I think nowadays my unique selling point is that I give the fitness videos for free,” Reif said in an interview in April 2020. She added:
“I think it’s not really common that people share the content that they create and that they put a lot of work in for free to everyone, but I think giving this kind of content which is really a benefit to people because they can use the fitness videos and they don’t only get knowledge from it but they also they can do it like in real time with me.”
Reif also has a very successful Instagram account, where she regularly posts pictures and videos of herself. She has 9.2 million followers in total, with her videos and photos amassing hundreds of thousands of likes.

Pamela Reif has reportedly previously had a relationship with German footballer Robert Bauer. The two are reportedly no longer together; Bauer now plays professionally in Saudi Arabia, and Reif remains in her native Germany.
In 2023, Reif was spotted kissing fellow social media star and fitness influencer Willi Whey in the street in her hometown of Karlsruhe. This has led to speculation that the two are dating.
