Biography
Nguyen was born in Vietnam on May 18th, 1970.
When he was still a baby, his parents fled the country due to the ongoing war there.
They made their way to the USA, where Nguyen was raised.
Nguyen’s entry into the USA was a dramatic one; as Vietnam fell to the Viet Cong, many tens of thousands of refugees fled from the country (along with neighboring Laos and Cambodia) and were evacuated to the US by the US Army.
Nguyen was brought to the US – along with four other family members– by his mother, Nhon Ke Nguyen.
After being temporarily housed in a ‘tent city’ near San Diego, California, Nhon Ke Nguyen successfully applied to be relocated to Washington State.
They arrived at Sea-Tac Airport on May 20th, 1975.
The Nguyen family initially lived with a local man, Charles Zedler, who provided them with accommodation for the next three years. This gave the Nguyens time to get on their feet.
Nguyen attended Franklin High School in Seattle.
He later followed his brother to a school for airplane mechanics, but discovered he had no taste for the profession and eventually struck out on his own.

Nguyen started working at the age of 12. With two paper rounds and a regular job picking strawberries, the young immigrant kept himself very busy.
Thach later recalled creating his own bicycle out of spare parts – a process that took around a year.
Nguyen worked menial jobs for a long time before he met businessman Albie Moschatel, who was a manager at the local John L. Scott office.
Thach, who was at that time pulling double duty working as a valet at a Chinese restaurant and as a cashier at Safeway, impressed Moschatel, who headhunted the young man.
While at John L. Scott, Nguyen became one of the best salesmen in the country. He managed to become a millionaire at the tender age of 27.

Nguyen, who is a huge fan of motivational books and videos, decided to share the secrets of his success with a wider audience.
Nguyen’s Tiktok account has, over the years, become a bona fide success story on the short-form video hosting site.
At the time of writing, Nguyen has 2 million followers, and his videos regularly generate a lot of traffic and comments as people discuss his advice on financial and other matters.
Nguyen also maintains a YouTube channel.
While not as successful as his Tiktok account, he nevertheless has 113,000 subscribers, and puts out 2-3 videos a month dispensing the same sort of advice as that found on his Tiktok page.
Wife & Children
Thach Nguyen is married to his wife, Camie. “When my wife cam and I started our real estate journal in 1991, I was 21 years old, she was 18 years old,” Nguyen explained. “We sacrificed a lot to be where we are today.”
The couple has two sons – Hudson and Russell.
He resides with his family in Washington State.
