His first credit came in 2005 when he played a West Ham Academy soccer player in the movie Green Street.

The film told the story of West Ham’s violent fans and starred Elijah Wood. 

Two years later, Hall got his break on the popular British TV show, Casualty, playing Marcus Dunlop in one episode in 2007.

He followed his debut TV show with further appearances in The Afternoon Play, Clapham Junction, and The Bill.

In 2015, Hall appeared in Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens, playing a First Order Officer. Although not one of the best Star Wars movies, it was still a huge commercial success and starred Harrison Ford, Daisy Ridley, and John Boyega, among others.

While the film helped Hall enjoy success in film, he soon returned to the small screen, where he had enjoyed so much of his success to date. 

His next role came as Jogan in the TV series Beowulf: Return to the Shieldlands before he played Thorne Geary in six episodes of Taboo in 2017.

The fictional drama saw an adventurer return to London during the War of 1812 and starred Tom Hardy and David Hayman in the lead roles. It was yet another role that Hall played in a fictional historical drama, highlighting his penchant for such roles in the industry. 

More recent work has seen Hall appear as Fergus Weir in Silent Witness before he played Pete in six episodes of the popular show Devs, which debuted in 2020.

Following the release of the eagerly anticipated House of the Dragon, Hall played Haakon Chevalier in the history drama Oppenheimer.
