Draco Malfoy stands at King’s Cross with his wife and son, and the woman playing his wife was Jade Olivia Gordon, Tom Felton‘s girlfriend in real life.
She worked as a stunt assistant, not an actress, and Felton had to talk her into the part. Here is how it happened, with quotes and a link to each source.
Who played Draco Malfoy’s wife?
Draco’s wife is Astoria Greengrass. She gets only brief mentions in the books and the films, and the two have a son, Scorpius.
Jade Olivia Gordon played her.
Jade is a British stunt assistant with about a dozen credits, including Inkheart, The Da Vinci Code and Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time.

How Tom Felton Met Jade Olivia Gordon
It started in the Great Hall set. Jade had been booked as an extra for a single day, and the Slytherin boys were busy checking out the girls on set.
Felton told the Daily Mail in 2011 it was “love at first sight in the Hogwarts Great Hall,” and added that the feeling was one-sided at first.
After that day he barely saw her for about 2 years.
They ran into each other on set again, had 3 cups of tea, and that was the start of it.

How Jade Became Astoria Malfoy
The idea came from the producers.
In June 2010 Felton said they had asked him about 6 months earlier if Jade would take the role.
She needed convincing.
“She was slightly reluctant, but I pulled her arm and twisted it,” he told MTV.
He broke the news at the 2010 MTV Movie Awards, the night he won Best Villain for Half-Blood Prince.
His short summary of her part: “She plays my wife, Astoria Malfoy.”
They filmed together for 3 days at King’s Cross station in London, and Felton joked that the marriage lasted exactly as long as the shoot.
Since the epilogue is set 19 years later, he got a preview of how Jade might look in the future.
His verdict: “And if that’s what she looks like, I’m doing pretty well for myself”.
Life As The Real Mr And Mrs Malfoy
In July 2011, the month the final film opened, the couple toured Rio de Janeiro and made the trek up Corcovado to the Christ the Redeemer statue.
Felton posted: “Had a very special day in Rio and saw some breathtaking views!”
For a while they lived in Los Angeles.
In March 2012 they were packing up their home there to move back to England.
Felton called Jade his best friend.
Talking to Express, he said a partner who truly gets you, “where most conversations can be held with just a look, is rare”.

Felton has talked about how the Draco years affected his love life in general.
Speaking to The Guardian in 2022, he said: “I was walking around with dyed hair and played an evil wizard.” He added that it did him no favors with girls.
For me, the timeline is the best part of this story.
A girl spotted from the Slytherin table during a 1-day extra job ended up as Draco’s wife in the closing scene of the whole saga.
