He was born on February 9, 1943, in Newark, as Joseph Frank Pesci.
His dad, Angelo Pesci, worked as a bartender and for General Motors, while his mom, Maria (née Mesce), worked part-time as a barber.
By age 10, Pesci was already performing in a TV variety show — Startime Kids.
He graduated from Belleville High School in Belleville.
In 1962, Pesci was the guitarist for the American popular music group — “Joey Dee and the Starliters.”
In 1968, he released a solo album titled – “Little Joe Sure Can Sing!”
In 1976, he had a small role in the film — “The Death Collector.”
In 1980, Martin Scorsese cast Pesci in his masterpiece “Raging Bull.”
