He went on to star in a number of cult films in the early 2000s, notably In America and 24 Hour Party People, which helped him develop his profile as an actor.

In 2004, Considine played one of the most defining roles of his career in Dead Man’s Shoes which saw him win the Best British Actor Award at the Empire Awards the following year.

He revealed in playing the roles of the villain at this stage in his career, something he did perfectly in Stoned and My Summer of Love, which were released in 2005.

Following his appearances in cult and independent films, Considine landed two prominent roles in big-budget movies in the years that followed.

Paddy played a newspaper reporter in The Bourne Ultimatum and a police officer in the dark comedy Hot Fuzz, both of which received critical acclaim upon their release.

He subsequently went on to play several more high-profile roles in movies throughout the 2000s and 2010, a time during which he actually wrote several scripts and made a number of movies.

His debut as a film-maker saw the release of Dog Altogether, which won a 2007 BAFTA Award for the Best Short Film.

It was also awarded the Silver Lion at the 2007 Venice Film Festival for Best Short Film, highlighting its critical acclaim and his talent as a filmmaker, alongside his acting exploits.

In 2011, Considine wrote and directed Tyrannosaur, one of his most impressive career feats. It stars Peter Millan and Olivia Colman in an expansion of his 2007 short film that received several awards.

He admitted to writing the entire script for the movie in just one week.

In an interview with Empire, he said:

“Tyrannosaur was a week, and that’s true. I think it was just because, strangely enough, I wasn’t thinking about how to write a script, if that makes any sense. I just think it spewed out, and I was just very truthful to these characters, and you let them take you where you want to go.”

Just like Dog Altogether, the project was a personal one for Considine and reflected some of his experiences growing up.

It’s perhaps for this reason that he was able to write and perfect it in such a short space of time.

Although he has featured primarily in movies throughout his career, Considine also has many notable TV credits to his name. He played Father John Hughes in season three of Peaky Blinders, a crime drama based on the streets of historic Birmingham.

He also played the role of Gabe Waters in the TV series Informer, which aired in 2018.

In 2022, he performed the role of King Viserys Targaryen in the Game of Thrones prequel, House of the Dragon.

It’s his latest role in a career that has spanned more than two decades and seen him perform so many different roles.

Therefore, British actor Paddy Considine has an estimated net worth of $5 million.
