Taylor Swift has publicly identified herself as a Christian. In the 2020 Netflix documentary Miss Americana, she stated:
“I live in Tennessee. I’m a Christian. That’s not what we stand for.”
At the time, Swift was expressing her disapproval of certain actions that she believes contradict Christian values.
Throughout her songs, Taylor Swift has mentioned Jesus Christ.
In her 2019 song — “Soon You’ll Get Better,” Swift sings:
“Desperate people find faith, so now I pray to Jesus too.”
In “Don’t Blame Me,” Swift described the intensity of love:
“Oh, Lord, save me, my drug is my baby / I’ll be using for the rest of my life.”
In “False God,” Taylor also used religious symbolism:

During her youth, Taylor attended church services and participated in Catholic retreats to “reflect on God’s teachings.”

For preschool and kindergarten, the singer attended a Catholic Montessori school, which was run by the Bernardine Sisters of St. Francis.

Allegations of heresy – is Taylor Swift a witch?
Some critics say the American singer, through her concerts and songs, promotes unholiness and wickedness.
In the past, parts of the internet have been ablaze with accusations that she is no Christian at all.
These are some reasons:

Swift’s song “Karma,” featured on her 2022 album Midnights, glorifies the un-Christian concept of having to live multiple lifetimes to work off our bad deeds. She sings:
“Karma is my boyfriend
Karma is a god
Karma is the breeze in my hair on the weekend
Karma’s a relaxing thought.“
In the song “Guilty As Sin” from her 2024 album The Tortured Poets Department, she sings:
“What if I roll the stone away?/ They’re gonna crucify me anyway/ What if the way you hold me is actually what’s holy.”
In the music video for her song ‘Willow’, Taylor and her dancers are dressed as a coven of witches. Willow is a traditional material used to make magic wands, but this doesn’t mean that Taylor Swift is a witch.
