Vincent Herbert Net Worth $4 Million

What is Vincent Herbert’s net worth?

Vincent Herbert is the founder of Streamline Records and has a net worth of $4 million. He’s worked with late R&B icon Aaliyah, Toni Braxton, Destiny’s Child, and JoJo.

He was also instrumental in Lady Gaga’s rise to superstardom.

At the height of his success as an American record producer, record exec, and songwriter, he also co-starred in a reality TV show with his then-wife, Tamar.

Tamar is the sister of Grammy, Billboard, and AMA award-winning songstress, Toni Braxton.

Vincent Herbert was born on January 27, 1973, in Newark, New Jersey.

The future record exec lost his mother when he was just 13 years old, and then his father a few years later.

Herbert had an older brother, Chris, who was a member of R&B groups Blaze, Phase II, N II U, and In-Sync (not to be confused with the legendary boyband NSYNC) in the 1990s.

Vincent was also part of Phase II in its early days but left to pursue his love of producing.

Sadly, Chris passed away sometime after the brothers buried their dad.

Vincent spent his middle school and high school years at Cambridge Christian School.

He was a popular kid described as having great charisma and a good work ethic. He was so well-liked that he was voted class president in his senior year. He went by the nickname water bottle.

Wife

In 2008, Vincent Herbert married Tamar Braxton.

Tamar is the youngest sister of velvet-voiced R&B singer Toni Braxton, who has sold more than 70 million albums over her 30-year career.

Tamar has experienced some successes as a singer in her own right—her first album in 13 years debuted at #2 in the US, being narrowly beaten out by Ariana Grande’s Yours Truly.

On June 6, 2013, Vincent and his wife welcomed their first child together—a boy named Logan Vincent Herbert.

The couple divorced on July 16, 2019, after almost 11 years of marriage.

Tamar & Vince

Their marriage may have failed to go the distance, but the reality show it spawned has churned out 45 episodes so far.

After Braxton caught some mainstream attention starring alongside her famous sister in 2011’s Braxton Family Values reality show, she and Vincent signed on for their own spin-off.

The WEtv reality television series, Tamar & Vince, hit the cable network in 2011, with the premise that it chronicles her “pursuit of pop stardom.”

Vincent Herbert, credited on the show as Vince Herbert, lends his support—and considerable music industry connections—to making her success happen.

Eventually, the work paid off.

Herbert managed his wife’s music career and acted as executive producer on her most successful album to date—Love and War. The album was released on his label, too.

Introducing The Gaga

One of the pivotal moments in Vince Herbert’s career came in 2007.

Herbert’s good friend, Rob Fusari, approached him with some songs he’d worked on with unknown singer Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta.

Fusari, who claimed he gave her the name Lady Gaga, developed songs he’d created with the singer and sent them to Herbert.

At that stage, Gaga had already been signed to Def Jam in September of 2006, dropped from the label by Christmas that year, and was performing in burlesque shows.

Herbert knew Lady Gaga was going to be something special. He signed her to his label, Streamline Records—an imprint of Interscope Records.

In later interviews, following her stratospheric success as a musician and artist, Gaga stated that Herbert was the one who discovered her.

Herbert was executive producer on four of Lady Gaga’s albums:

  • Chromatica (2020)
  • A Star is Born Soundtrack (2018)
  • Joanne (2016)
  • ARTPOP (2013)
  • Born This Way (2011)
  • The Fame Monster (2009)
  • The Fame (2008)

Health Scare or Publicity Grab?

While Vincent himself has played any health issues close to his chest and has reportedly lost over 100lbs over the past two decades, Tamar said in a Dancing with the Stars interview that he had to be induced into a coma and hospitalized—for almost 6 weeks.

She explained on the show that Herbert had seven blood clots and that it was the most horrible time of her life.

According to Tamar, he was gasping for breath.

He became the inspiration for her song King. As sick as Herbert apparently was, he played the piano as she competed on the show.

Following their 2019 divorce, things between Vincent and his volatile wife got even more tense.

Tamar moved on to David Adefeso, who eventually broke up with her and sent her—via his lawyer—a cease and desist letter.

She then recorded a phone conversation with Herbert, in which she confronts him about a woman he has been seeing.

While the woman’s name was never revealed, eventually, rumors surfaced that Herbert was dating an 18-year old woman named Jamie Taylor.

She went on Instagram Live with Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta reality starlet, Akbar V, to talk about her relationship with an anonymous industry exec who was recently divorced and “trying to work things out with his baby mama.”
