Alexandra grew up in Waterloo, Illinois, not far from St. Louis.
She was a very musical youngster and was a keen singer from a young age.
She began writing music when she was aged just 15.
Like most teens that age, she was struggling with her own identity and wanted to find a way to express herself.
She first got into entertainment by doing voice-over work and booking commercials.
She would perform in local singing events, and in 2011, she decided to audition for American Idol.
A year later, she found herself performing Hip Hop and R&B, working with the likes of Nelly.
In 2013, she signed to an independent record label and released her first single ‘No More’ shortly afterwards. It was a huge hit.
At 22, Alexandra began performing country and western songs, covering numerous popular country songs from the 90s.

She began posting them on her social media pages and went viral numerous times.
Back then, going viral was much tougher, so to achieve such a feat, really was something special.
Today, AK has more than 6 million followers across her platforms and has performed with some true legends of the country and Western music world, including Tim McGraw.
In 2022 and 2023, she began touring globally, performing in London, England, and even headlining her very first sell-out show in Manchester, UK.
Her debut album ‘All I’ve Ever Known’ released in late 2023, was one of the most hotly anticipated albums in recent years, and for good reason too.

So, who was Alexandra Kay’s husband?
As we’ve learned all about Alexandra, it’s only right that we should also learn more about the man she married. In 2021, Alexandra Kay married Indiana Touchette, who grew up in the same town as her, and attended the same high school as her. The two met more than a decade ago and found themselves in a relationship shortly afterward.
Touchette is a union labourer, whom Alexandra claims inspires her to create her music.
Initially, when they first got together, they found it hard to be apart when Alex was out touring or spending hours upon hours in the recording studio, yet they made it work.
The couple used to live in Illinois, and went on their first official date back in 2012.
Alexandra, who is often called ‘Lexi’ by her friends, says she remembers what he was wearing when they first went out and what they did.
The couple went to the movies, with Alex playfully mocking him for eating cookies and making a mess.
The couple fell in love with each other very quickly, and after just three months, they were living together.
A Perfect Wedding in the Woods

Despite being very happy together, the couple did previously split early into their relationship.
Alexandra actually wrote a song about the split, calling it ‘Somewhere near Indianna.’
The two realized how much they needed one another and quickly rekindled their romance.
Despite moving in together fast, the couple took things slowly and waited nearly a decade to get married, but what a truly special wedding it was.
Indianna proposed to Lexi during the festive holidays in 2019, and they were married on September 25th, 2021, in a truly magical woodland wedding that was like something out of a fairytale.
The couple married at dusk, in a stunning woodland setting in Mount Vernon, Illinois, with some truly amazing photographs being taken.

The wedding featured florals, a photo booth, yard games, and a reception in a stunningly renovated white barn, which seated more than 200 guests.
Alex even recorded a special song for the event, which she called ‘From September to Forever.’
Not wanting to make the day all about her, however, she decided not to perform the song on her big day for her guests but rather, to perform it in private for her husband.
Guests absolutely loved the big day, and tucked into a simple, yet delicious feast of garlic-herb chicken, bruschetta, mashed potatoes, honey-glazed ham, mac and cheese, green beans, and a selection of sweet treats from a local bakery.
Divorce
In 2023, it was reported that Alexandra Kay and Indiana Touchette were divorcing. “I’m going through a divorce from my ex, who I was with for a decade,” she said.
