As a teenager, he became fascinated with chemicals and chemistry.
Aziz began studying chemical engineering at the best university in Iran, the Sharif University of Technology, until he migrated to Canada at the age of 25.

Andrew arrived in Canada as an international student in 2009 and did his Ph.D. at the University of British Columbia in Chemical Engineering.
He received his Ph.D. in five years and then began working at a well-known company. However, after two years of working, he was laid off, which led him to reevaluate his approach to his career.
Aziz stated that after he was laid off, he was unemployed for five months, and during this time, he spent time learning the market and day trading.
He said that during this time, he was not making any money trading and had to get a day job.
Andrew said he would wake up at 5 am every day and spend a few hours trading and learning the stock market.
Aziz stated that after a while, when he became comfortable with trading, he transitioned from his science and engineering background and became a trader.
He has since written a book about his experience in an effort to provide affordable information to aspiring traders with the information he didn’t have access to when he first started.
“It was about 2015 that I decided to write a book on day trading because what I found was there was a lot of information out there, but there was no really good book that puts everything together as it is for basic beginners,” Aziz told Etienne Crete in 2018.
