He achieved a high GPA and was recruited by several college ball teams.

He chose to attend Purdue and became one of the star players on the college team. He was even named to the Big Ten Network All-Decade Basketball Team, highlighting just how much potential he had.

Following his arrest on drug charges and after dropping out of the NBA, it was not clear whether Swanigan will once again return to the court, but only time will tell.
