Glen Schofield Net Worth – $4 million

What is Glen Schofield’s net worth? Who is Glen Schofield’s wife?

Glen Schofield is an American video game producer and the CEO of Striking Distance Studios.

There is not much known about Schofield’s childhood except that he started taking art lessons at an early age.

In 1991, Schofield worked for Absolute Entertainment.

In 2002, Glen earned his MBA from Golden Gate University.

From November 1996 to March 2002, Glen served as the VP of Eidos’ Crystal Dynamics where he directed games such as Blood Omen 2 and Gex 2 & 3.

From March 2002 to July 2009, Schofield was the General Manager of Visceral Games, a video game development studio owned by Electronic Arts, where he led development on the classic horror game Dead Space.

”On Dead Space, my goal was to scare the heck out of one person,” he told Ars Technica in June 2020. ”I wanted to make the scariest game. But I also wanted a game that was like exactly what I wanted to make. Prior to Dead Space, I had just finished making James Bond 007: From Russia with Love — that was a third action game where. It was great. I got to work with Sean Connery.”

Sledgehammer Games

In 2009, Glen and Michael Condrey created the video game developer company Sledgehammer Games, which became a subsidiary of Activision.

”I learned in business school that growth is good,” Schofield said in an interview. He went on to say: ”I took that to heart at Sledgehammer, and we started with 60, then to 150, then to 200-something, then all the way up to 350 people.”

Sledgehammer Games has been part of the Call of Duty series since 2011.

In 2017, Condrey and Glen headed the team that produced Call of Duty: WWII.

Sledgehammer co-founders Schofield and Condrey left the studio in February 2018. For a while, both had new roles as executives inside Activision.

”Working with such a great studio of developers at Sledgehammer Games has been an honor and the highlight of my career,” Glen said in a statement. ”Thank you to everyone.”

In December 2018, Schofield left Activision.

”I’ve had a great run here at Activision; 3 COD’s- MW3, AW, and WWll- that I’m proud of,” Schofield tweeted at the time. ”I feel it’s time to try something new tho.”

”We thank him for his leadership, and vision,” Activision replied. ”We wish Glen continued success.”

Striking Distance Studios

In June 2019, it was reported that Glen had joined PUBG Corporation as the CEO of Striking Distance Studios.

”I’m proud and honored to announce that I am now part of PUBG Corporation,” he tweeted. ”Working together, we are building a AAA game studio called Striking Distance in San Ramon, CA.”

”As a creative, the freedom to explore the PUBG universe has me excited about the possibilities, which we view as beyond battle royale,” Glen said in a later interview.

”In just one year, we’ve managed to grow Striking Distance Studios to over 100 employees and just opened a second location in Spain,” Schofield announced in June 2020. ”It’s been quite a ride so far, and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for this amazing team.”

The Callisto Protocol

At The Game Awards 2020, he revealed a new game, The Callisto Protocol, which is planned for release in 2022 for Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC.

The Callisto Protocol may be a spiritual successor of the horror series Dead Space. Also, it is set in the PUBG Universe, however, Glen said that the connection to PUBG ”won’t be a deep one.”

”We’re helping PUBG Corp right now as a team of writers, working on the lore for PUBG and its universe,” Schofield declared in 2021. ”They have a timeline, and we fit on that timeline now.”

Update – The Callisto Protocol was released on December 2, 2022.
