What is Kay Flock’s net worth?
Kay Flock is an American rapper who has a net worth of $1.5 million. He made his foray into the hip-hop world with the release of his debut single, Being Honest.
Now there’s a G Herbo remix and a mixtape project under his belt, nothing is stopping Kay Flock from taking on the music industry.
But what do we know about the Bronx rapper, Capitol Records artist, and songwriter, really?
Kay Flock—also known as Kevin Perez—was born in The Bronx, New York, on April 20, 2003.
Perez had a rough childhood growing up in the Bronx, although the borough had enjoyed a fair amount of gentrification, and some wealthy areas had sprung up by the early 2000s.
Perez listened to a style of music known as Brooklyn drill in his teens.
Brooklyn drill—a local subgenre of drill music that was heavily influenced by the UK and Chicago, was an escape for Kay Flock.
Artists like Bobby Shmurda, Rowdy Rebel, Fetty Luciano, Dusty Locane, Rah Swish, and Bizzy Banks influenced Kevin Perez in his teens, and inspired him to work on his lyrics and style of rap.
Kevin was also good at sports—he played baseball and basketball right through school but didn’t have the fortitude to keep going after high school. Instead, he committed to making it big in rap.
The problem was that Perez was about to end up in juvenile detention at 16 years old.
The Early Years
Kevin was released from juvenile detention in March of 2020 with a plan—he was going to make a go of breaking into the rap game.
In May 2020, with the support of B-Lovee, Perez dropped his debut single, FTO.
The song featured the beat from 22Gz’s Blixky Gang Freestyle, with Perez’s lyrics laid over the top.
He posted the song to Triller, where it was eventually spotted by Lil Tjay. Lil Tjay shared the unknown song with his followers, and Kay Flock went viral.
He also gained an extra few thousand followers that day—and then more, and then more, and then more.
Before long, Perez’s song was a bona fide success, and hip hop / drill fans around New York City were paying attention to this new up and comer.
FTO was followed up with Kay Flock’s next single, Opp Spotter—featuring B-Lovee. The music video for Opp Spotter has over 6 million views on YouTube.
This level of success was exciting, but the best was yet to come for Kay Flock when he won features from some of the biggest names in the rap game.
In April of 2022, Perez dropped his latest release—Shake It. The track featured Dougie B, Bory300, and the uber-famous Cardi B.
The song peaked at #51 on the Billboard Hot 100, and had racked up more than 23 million YouTube views within a month.

Trouble with the Law
On December 23, 2021, Kevin was arrested for allegedly shooting and killing a man named Oscar Hernandez in Harlem, New York.
He turned himself in after hearing that he was the main suspect.
The NYPD said in a press conference that the event—which took place on December 16—took place as Perez walked past a barber shop.
The victim ran out of the barber shop, at which point they claim Perez shot him in the neck and back.
Hernandez, who was 24 years old at the time, died at Mount Sinai Hospital.
Kay Flock is to be held on Rikers Island pending trial, and is being represented by Jeffrey Lichtman.
Lichtman is famously known for representing Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman in his US federal trial.
The aspiring rapper took to social media after news broke of his arrest and took some time to give his fans and followers an update on his legal situation.
Perez, who is denying affiliations to a local gang, posted the cryptic (and poorly written) caption:
“All good don’t believe the blogs or the internet, everything trendy, forever DOA.”
In February 2023, Kay was indicted on RICO charges. The rapper faces a mandatory life sentence in prison.
Net Worth 2024
So, how much is Kay Flock worth? Perez earned most of his wealth from selling copies of his mixtape (The D.O.A. Tape), ads on YouTube, and concerts. Therefore, Kay Flock has an estimated net worth of $1.5 million.
On YouTube, Kevin has over 355 million views–about $1.1 million in revenue before taxes.
