She was born on September 14, 1988, in Origin Vero Beach, Florida, as Priscilla Renea Hamilton.
Renea was raised in Gifford, Florida.

Renea got the idea for the track one night when she was washing dishes.
“I don’t think anybody in the music business thought or expected that a song could blow up this fast, and we’re independent,” Muni said in an interview in early 2022. “I’m not assigned to a major label, so it’s really like historic.”
Signs A Record Deal With Def Jam Recordings
In March 2022, she inked a deal with Def Jam Recordings.
“We look forward to an incredible journey with Tunji and the Def Jam family,” Muni confessed at the time.
On September 23, 2022, her album, Public Displays of Affection: The Album, was released via Def Jam, MPR Global, and Supergiant.
