Renni Rucci Net Worth $1.5 Million

What Is Renni Rucci’s Net Worth?

Courtney Rene—the artist more famously known as Renni Rucci—is an American rapper who has a net worth of $1.5 million. She gained popularity for her hit singles, Can’t Be, Roll In Peace, and Everybody.

She also caught the attention of the mainstream public for her remixes of Billboard hits like 21 Savage’s Bank Account, Lil Baby’s Freestyle, and Cardi B’s cult classic, Bodak Yellow.

Renni Rucci is more than just a rapper who does covers, though.

She’s also signed to a modeling agency and has appeared in magazines and on runways.

If that’s not enough of a side hustle, the young up and comer has also racked up more than 1.4 million Instagram followers.

So, what else is there to know about the rap starlet with the major fanbase and the big booty?

Let’s find out.

The Origin Story

Courtney “Renni Rucci” Rene Reese was born on October 2, 1991, in Irmo, South Carolina.

These days, Irmo is known as one of the safest cities in the state of South Carolina and has a population of 13,000.

This relatively small town was home to Courtney’s family—her Irish American father, African American mom, Jacqueline, younger sister Stella, and younger brother Malcolm.

Courtney was a wild child.

At school she was teased for having such fair skin and “acting black,” and she fell in with a bad crowd.

At 15 years old, she and her boyfriend fell pregnant with their first child.

She became a mom at 16 to a son named Cour’don and then had her second baby when she was 18.

She named her daughter D’couri.

Things were falling apart for the teen mom.

She dropped out of high school to raise her children, and her boyfriend—and baby daddy—landed himself in prison for 8 years.

Courtney has spoken openly in interviews and on social media about how difficult those times were for her, and how hard she had to hustle to provide for her young family.

“I worked two and three minimum wage jobs at a time, and I still was a child,” she said.

Courtney’s mom, Jacqueline Bush Reese, passed away in December of 2021.

The young starlet regularly posts tributes to her beloved mother on social media.

Getting Back on Track

Tired of minimum wage jobs and never seeing her kids, Courtney Rene became an exotic dancer.

The job paid well, and showing off her body also helped the wannabe star build her online presence.

Once she started building her brand on Instagram—a brand that showcased her curves and attractive face—the modeling and sponsorship offers started to roll in.

But Rene had bigger plans—and they involved getting a stage name.

Courtney grew up listening to Cardi B, The Weeknd, Lil Baby, and Future—and she fine tuned her own rap skills to some of these artists’ beats.

In 2017, the 26 year old mom of two decided she’d start going after her dreams.

Her kids were both school aged by this point—her eldest was 10 and her youngest was 8.

The first step was coming up with a rap name: she chose Renni because it was similar to Rene, and Rucci because it was like Gucci with an R.

Before settling on Renni Rucci, Courtney also trialed the stage names “Dat Courtney Love” and “Bella.”

She released her remix of Bodak Yellow and Bank Account on social media, to positive reviews.

She followed that up with her own debut single, Roll In Peace, in December 2017.

Freshly signed to Atlantic Records, the track eventually racked up 2.5 million streams.

2018 would be the year that Renni Rucci well and truly made her mark on hip hop.

She released several hit singles—including a Lil Baby remix of Freestyle which would hit 20 million streams.

Next came Shook in June of that year, followed by Asum, Cold Hearted featuring Lil Yachty, and Act Funny.

Foogiano

In early 2020, Georgia rapper Foogiano slid into Renni Rucci’s DMs on Instagram.

The rapper, who is signed to Gucci Mane’s 1017 Records label, initially talked to Rucci about a collaboration, but things progressed.

By early 2021, the pair were official.

Unfortunately for their new relationship, Foogiano—real name Kwame Brown—was arrested in March of that year.

The Molly hitmaker, who is two years younger than Renni Rucci, was sentenced to 5 years in prison.

Rucci has stayed loyal to her man, even becoming engaged to him after he sent her a diamond ring from prison.

She announced their engagement on her 30th birthday, posting photos to Instagram of her ring, alongside the caption: “#DirtyThirty from a girlfriend to fiancee.” In May 2022, Renni revealed that she was no longer engaged to the American rapper.
