Biography
He was born on July 6, 1975, in Queens, New York, as Curtis James Jackson III.
His mom, Sabrina, worked as a drug dealer. She was killed at age 23, when he was just eight years old.
“I didn’t understand it,” he later said. “I think shock is the best way to describe how I felt when my mother died.”
Curtis began boxing at about age 11.
