She started work as an intern in 2006 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Scott interned at WCAU-NBC 10 and gradually started to learn the ropes.
Before then, however, she would run track for Division I Brown University and would graduate in 2007.
She picked up a Bachelor’s Degree in Geological Sciences, followed by her Meteorological Certification from Mississippi State in 2010.
Cheryl currently presents the weather for ABC 7 Eyewitness News after having joined in December 2014.
Before that, she worked at NBC 5 in Chicago.
In this role, which she had held since 2011, she would present the weather in the morning and on weekends. She was a firm favorite with viewers all over Chicago and beyond, for that matter.
Cheryl is no stranger to the weather, as her previous job was in Tennessee, working as a weekend meteorologist for WBIR-TV, the NBC affiliate in Knoxville, TN.
She was on air when Knoxville was devasted by a series of tornadoes in 2011 and proved to be a very valuable asset. During this time, she kept people updated on the weather and provided valuable safety information.
It was during this time that she decided she wanted to make an even bigger difference, and consequently, she would volunteer for the American Red Cross.
That is a testament to the kind of person that Cheryl is. She remained true to the organization, dedicated hours of her time, and is now on the Board of Directors for the American Red Cross.

Is Cheryl Scott married?

In early-mid 2023, Cheryl was often spotted in public with a young mystery man, and she would even post pictures of them together on Instagram. She would put up a post seemingly announcing an engagement, and her fans were over the moon for her. But who was the mystery man?
Well, the mystery man in question was a Chicago DJ by the name of Dante Deiana. Dante, who is of Italian descent, is a DJ and entrepreneur who is often seen at private venues and party gatherings across the US and across the world.

Despite announcing their engagement, Cheryl was not spotted wearing a ring, and soon, speculation began to grow.
Cheryl stopped posting Dante or acknowledging him on social media, and people wondered if the two had split.
Comments on her post of the pair seemed to confirm this, with people generally saying ‘good riddance’ and that she was better off without him.
As for why they split, it’s been rumored that he was too immature and would not give her children.
DJs lead party lifestyles, so this, of course, will have put a strain on their relationship.
Cheryl Scott is currently freezing her eggs, though she is in a seemingly new relationship, so who knows what the future may hold for her?
