What is Duane Ollinger’s net worth?
Duane Ollinger is a TV personality and a high-risk oil contractor who has a net worth of $5 million. Duane made his money working in the oil industry, and bought a plot of land in Utah with one purpose in mind: treasure hunting.
What he got was a hoard of fans and a Discovery Channel reality show called Mystery at Blind Frog Ranch.
As if searching for hidden treasure that may or may not exist isn’t hard enough, Duane and his band of merry men have to do it around camera crews and producers.
If the show is to be believed, they also have to navigate their way around paranormal activity.
As fans flock to their televisions to watch Duane Ollinger and his crew navigate the Mystery at Blind Frog Ranch, Duane is just trying to fulfill a dream passed on to him by a friend.
The Origin Story
Duane Ollinger was born on July 26, 1957, in Dumas, Texas.
Duane followed the traditional path to success, graduating from high school and college before moving to Amarillo to work in the oil industry.
Ollinger was always a hard worker—something that he says was drilled into him by his own father early on. “Work ethic is important. You’ve gotta work for what you want.”
After working his way up through the ranks with a Texas-based oil company, Ollinger branched out on his own as a consultant.
The independent spirit also had the savvy to set up a couple of businesses on the side—Four Star Construction in Dumas, and Tiger Aviation.
Wife
While he was working, Duane and his wife were busy squirreling money away for a passion project—and raising their children.
Duane and Sherry Ollinger have a son named Chad.
If you’ve ever watched The Mystery at Blind Frog Ranch, then you’ve already met Chad. His wife, Haley, has also appeared on a couple of episodes of the show.
Duane and Sherry are also proud grandparents, four times over.
Chad and Haley have four kids—daughters Lillie and Hazel, and sons named Hutch and Finn. Haley is a writer.

Duane Ollinger’s hard work in the oil industry paid off, and eventually, he and his wife were able to purchase a block of land in Utah.
They named it the Blind Frog Ranch.
This wasn’t just any plot of land—Duane had made a commitment to tell a very special story.
A friend and mentor of his, Jeremiah Davis, had done what Duane describes as a “huge favor.”
But Ollinger was committed to doing his best.
Jeremiah wanted the story of this specific property to be told—to get the message out that there was more to this life than what we can see.
When Davis was on his deathbed, Ollinger visited him to tell him it was done—the story was out there.
Duane was referencing the reality show and the way it treads the line between treasure hunting and dealing with the paranormal.
Duane often speaks about how grateful he is to the Discovery channel and Karga Seven Pictures for giving him the opportunity to fulfill a promise.
What is Going On at Blind Frog Ranch?
The plot of land the Ollinger family bought in Utah came with sprawling land, impressive views, daunting terrain, and a potential gold mine. It also came with a fair bit of legend attached.
Part of that related to the Spanish Conquistadors and their attempt to claim the land from Aztec people already mining for gold in the area.
There is also a persisting story that local Mormons were permitted to mine in the area to make coins.
Yet another story goes that the land is cursed and that anyone who finds wealth on the land will be doomed to bad fortune.
After Duane and his team uncovered a series of underground caves, they became even more convinced that something epic was on the horizon.
When asked, Duane himself said:
“I believe that there’s more out there, and I’ve seen a lot of things that help me believe. You have never […] seen me do anything just for the hell of it.”
The first season of The Mystery at Blind Frog Ranch aired in 2022. The show has already been renewed for a second season.
