Eugene “Geno” Doak is an American businessman and reality TV personality.

He is best known as the partner of “Mama” June Shannon of Honey Boo fame.

The Origin Story

Doak was born on October 8^th, 1975.

Little is known of his early life; it is not known where he was born or grew up, or how he spent his formative years.

It is known, however, that he has four children from previous relationships – two sons and two daughters. All of his children are now fully grown.

Criminal Record

Doak has a troubled history with law enforcement, dating all the way back to the mid-90s.

He is primarily known to the authorities for theft, criminal damage, and burglary, and was first convicted in 1996 of felony burglary.

Doak was, at that time, sentenced to a year in prison; he served three months of his sentence before being released.

Doak was again arrested in 2009 following the theft of a cargo trailer from a Methodist church in Georgia.

For this felony theft, Doak was required to pay a $2500 fine and engage in 80 hours of community service.

In 2013, Doak violated his probation when he was charged with second-degree criminal damage (a felony). He served 15 months of a four-year sentence before being released on parole.

Doak wasn’t sentenced until 2021, when he copped a plea deal for 16 months imprisonment.

Suicide Attempt And Life Now

In late 2021, Doak attempted suicide by ingesting a large amount of blood pressure medication with alcohol.

Due to the intervention of a friend at his home, who called 911, Doak survived the attempt.

Following the suicide attempt, Doak re-established contact with June Shannon, who arranged for him to be relocated to a rehabilitation center in South Carolina.

Doak enrolled in the 12-step program and stated that he had learned a lot about himself, and pledged to get himself clean.

In June of 2022, Doak was again in legal trouble.

As part of his ongoing commitments from his 2019 felony arrest for possession of crack cocaine, Doak was required to attend a community corrections program.

He failed to show up for one such session, at which point a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Police did not believe that Doak had deliberately shirked his responsibilities at that time and, despite the arrest warrant, did not intend to jail Doak as a result of the infraction.
