What is Janie Liszewski’s net worth?
Janie Liszewski has a net worth of $3 million. You might not recognize Janie Liszewski’s name right off the bat, but what if we called her by her married name: Janie Van Halen?
That’s right—this career entertainer with a love for fitness and excitement also has a love of the iconic guitar hero and Van Halen band founder, Eddie Van Halen.
Far from a trophy wife, though, this rock ‘n roll WAG has a lot going on in her own right.
You’ve probably seen her in cult classic films like Bubble Boy, A Man Apart, and Quentin Tarantino’s From Dusk Till Dawn (she was the bar dancer).
The Origin Story
A child of the ’70s, Jane Liszewski, was born in Pennsylvania.
Her father was a blue-collar worker, and her mom was a retired ballroom dancer, and the pair welcomed a son two years after Janie’s birth.
The family relocated to California when Liszewski was in her teens, and she attended William S. Hart High School in Santa Clarita.
It was here that the acting bug bit her—she began auditioning for school plays and stage performances.
Not content to put all her eggs in one basket, Janie continued to follow her first love—dance.
Eager to be a dancer like her mother, she continued on this path and attended a local dance academy. Graduating from the academy, she threw herself into a successful career as a dancer.
But the world had more in store for Janie Liszewski.
On The Rise
Liszewski always thought of herself as a tomboy, and loved to get rough and tumble with her brother Tom.
It would make sense that the brunette beauty would venture into the world of stunt performance.
The outgoing adventure-seeker racked up 15 film credits as a stuntwoman over a 5 year period in the early 2000s, even getting involved in top-billed movies like The Wedding Planner, Along Came Polly, and Spider-Man 2.
But how did a future PR agent, former ballroom dancer, and sometimes actor become a stuntwoman?
Easily, according to the star herself.
A background in athletics and dance, regular training at the same gym Hulk Hogan uses, and a bunch of connections in the entertainment industry—combined with a never say die attitude—meant Liszewski was ready for the opportunities when they presented themselves.
Love Is In The Air
When Janie Liszewski met rock icon Eddie Van Halen in 2006, it was in a professional capacity—she was his PR agent.
She joined him, his band, his entourage, and his managers on tour. Van Halen was also married to former TV star Valerie Bertinelli at the time.
Van Halen married Bertinelli in 1981, and the pair had a son.
Wolfgang would be Eddie’s only child, and would go on to join him on stage in his later years.
Bertinelli and Van Halen separated in 2001, partly due to his drug and alcohol abuse, and partly due to not wanting their son to witness how they treated each other.
Technicalities aside, the pair fell in love, and following Eddie’s divorce in 2007, the pair moved in together.
They married in 2009 in a small, private ceremony at their Studio City, California, home. Valerie—Eddie’s ex-wife—and their son were in attendance.
Unlike Eddie’s first marriage, which—according to both Eddie and Valerie—was underscored with drugs and alcohol, his wedding to Janie had a non-alcoholic lemonade bar, and the pair toasted each other with French sparkling apple cider.
Their dog, Janie’s 15 year old Pomeranian named Kano, walked her down the aisle.
The pair lived happily in California with their dog, Kody, until Van Halen’s death on October 6, 2020.
The iconic musician died of throat cancer, and was memorialized in his local Los Angeles Times as “the All American guitar hero”.
A Lesson in Resilience
2020 was a hard year for the vivacious Janie—aside from losing her husband of 11 years, she also farewelled her brother, Tom, and her mother.
She faced several health scares, the most recent in 2021, when she had an anxiety attack before going for a biopsy on her breast.
Liszewski, who usually shies away from social media, used the platform to warn others to stay “on top of your health stuff.”
