Thames made his film debut in 2022’s “The Black Phone,” a supernatural horror film which grossed over $161 million. It was directed by Scott Derrickson.

“It feels like a love letter to the original,” Mason detailed in an interview. He added: “Not about changing or making better, but expanding.”
