Dr Michael Youssef Net Worth $1.5 Million

What is Dr Michael Youssef’s net worth?

Dr. Michael Youssef is a senior pastor at Atlanta’s Church of the Apostles and has a net worth of $1.5 million.

He’s the executive president of the Christian media company and ministries, Leading the Way.

He is most well-known for his commitment to serving the Christian faith, his work as a minister, and his contribution to his church—and the people of Atlanta, Georgia.

He’s also written a whole bunch of books.

Youssef says that his life is “a testimony of God’s faithfulness—His faithfulness to me as an individual when I was hopelessly unfaithful.”

The Origin Story

Michael Amerhom Youssef was born in Cairo, Egypt, on September 25, 1948.

Youssef’s parents were encouraged by doctors to end the pregnancy because it was high risk for Michael’s mother, but a family pastor encouraged them not to terminate.

In 1964, they celebrated when their son dedicated his life to the Christian faith.

He was 16 years old at the time.

He found the Christian faith in Egypt, and moved with his family to Lebanon, before temporarily settling in Australia.

While he was based in Sydney, he studied at Moore Theological College—which has produced notable alumni like Bernard Judd, MBE, and multiple Bishops and Arch-bishops.

Moore College is one of the largest Anglican colleges in the world, and has produced 4,000+ graduates.

Most of the graduates are Anglican, although it has also trained Baptists, Congregationalists, and Presbyterians.

The core focus at Moore is full-time study of conservative evangelical theology—and the Bible in its original languages.

Wife

While studying in Australia, Youssef became ordained as a minister and met Elizabeth.

The pair were married shortly after.

In the late 1970s, Youssef and his wife relocated to the United States, where they worked to become US citizens.

Youssef earned a degree from Fuller Theological Seminary and a Ph.D. in social anthropology from Emory University, as he and Elizabeth grew their family.

Eventually, the pair would have four children—including Jonathan, a junior pastor in the Church of the Apostles.

For almost a decade, Youssef traveled the world evangelizing with the Haggai Institute, before returning home in 1987 to settle down with his family and start the Church of the Apostles.

Since then, he has penned a veritable library of books, founded the Leading the Way Ministries in Atlanta, Georgia, and watched his children—and now 10 grandchildren—grow up.

The Church of the Apostles

In 1987, Youssef founded his church—the Church of the Apostles—in Atlanta, Georgia.

That first year, the congregation totaled 40 adults, and its mission was to “Equip the Saints and Seek the Lost.”

By 2005, it had 3,000 adult members and had reached capacity at its elegant neo-gothic church building and brick campus.

Its members reach out to support missions around the world, as well as in their own backyards, and recognize God as the authority in every facet of their lives.

Along with the growth in members, the church has also grown in other ways, offering multiple ministries to the people who support it.

Ministries range from family and children ministries to STS, Apostles College Fellowship, Small Group, Women’s Ministry, Men’s Fraternity, Genuine Wisdom—a group for women in their 20s and 30s, MAN UP—for men in their 20s and 30s, and mentorships.

The Church of the Apostles also offers care to its congregation in other areas—including support during or before divorce, through grief counseling, financial literacy programs, and budgeting support.

Leading the Way

Leading the Way, the media ministry founded by Dr. Youssef, claims him as its leading volunteer.

The LTW message—including its television programs and podcasts—is heard by millions internationally.

The ministry proudly proclaims that Youssef doesn’t take a salary, receive compensation, or accept royalties for any material produced and shared with its listeners.
