Paul Walker was an American actor who was best known for starring in the popular Fast and Furious franchise.
Biography
He was born on September 12, 1973, in Glendale, California, as Paul William Walker IV.
His father, Paul William Walker III, was a sewer contractor, and his mother, Cheryl, was a fashion model.
“My mother was a model,” Walker said on The Ellen Show in 2003. “Well, the modeling career kind of took a dive after motherhood and all that. But she was pretty busy with that alone.”
His grandfather was a racecar driver. “I love cars,” Paul said in an interview. “I was brought up around cars. My grandfather actually raced stock cars for Ford back in the day.”
His first role in a film came in the horror-comedy, Monster in the Closet.
The Fast and the Furious
In 2001, Walker starred alongside Vin Diesel in The Fast and the Furious. It was inspired by the 1998 article “Racer X,” by Kenneth Li, about illegal street racing in NY. The film grossed $207 million worldwide on a $38 million budget.

In 2006, he played Hank Hansen in Clint Eastwood’s film Flags of Our Fathers.
In 2006, the California native joined the board of directors of The Billfish Foundation.
In 2008, he portrayed Ben Garvey in the thriller The Lazarus Project.
In 2009, Paul reprised his role as Brian O’Conner in Fast & Furious. The film grossed $360 million worldwide against an $85 million budget.
In 2011, Walker starred in Fast Five.

In 2012, Walker signed on to film Fast & Furious 6. In the same year, Walker founded the film production company Laguna Ridge Pictures. Fast & Furious 6 was released in 2013.
Daughter
Paul shared a daughter with his ex-girlfriend, Rebecca Soteros. Walker and Soteros were childhood sweethearts.
The two welcomed a daughter together in November 1998, named Meadow Walker. “Paul thought the world of her,” Walker’s dad told People in 2018. “No father loved a child more than he did Meadow.”
Meadow resided in Hawaii until she was 13 with her mother. A year before his death, Meadow decided to move to California and live with Walker.
In 2021, Meadow made her runway debut at the Paris and New York Fashion Weeks.
Girlfriend
At the time of his death, Walker had been dating Jasmine Pilchard-Gosnell. He met Jamine when she was just 16, and he was 33.
She’s a certified arborist per the International Society of Arboriculture.
Pilchard-Gosnell was reportedly close to Walker’s daughter. It is believed that Jasmine was the one who broke the news of Paul’s death to Meadow.

He died in a car accident on November 30, 2013, after his Porsche Carrera GT, in which he was travelling, crashed and struck a tree, bursting into flames in Santa Clarita, California.
The Coroner’s report stated the car driven by Walker’s friend, Roger Radas, was travelling at 160 km/h in a 72 km/h zone.
In 2023, Walker posthumously received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Walker left his entire estate in the hands of his 15-year-old daughter, Meadow. His father asked the courts to allow Paul’s mother, Cheryl Walker, to be in charge of Meadow’s inheritance. Meadow also earned an undisclosed amount from a lawsuit against Porsche.
Charity
Following the 2010 earthquake in Haiti, Walker founded his non-profit Reach Out WorldWide. ROWW focuses on helping citizens in the aftermath of natural disasters.
Walker told the Daily Telegraph: “I’d made a few runs into Port-au-Prince and was negotiating with the army to give me baby formula, tents, extension cords.”
ROWW has lent its services to disaster-relief efforts in Haiti, Chile, Indonesia, Alabama, and the Philippines.
