By the 2014 season, he was made quarterback for the team and had his first and last NFL sack. He continued to play for the Giants until the end of his contract.
On April 2nd, 2015, Paysinger signed a yearlong contract with the Miami Dolphins and was released in 2016. In these two seasons, he secured 57 tackles.
On June 9th, 2017, the New York Jets signed Paysinger, but before he could play in the regular season, he was released on September 1st, 2017.
By December 5th, the Carolina Panthers signed him, and he played a total of three games before being released on December 29th.
Following this, Paysinger announced he would be retiring from football altogether.
When asked about his downtime, Paysinger said that “the escape to me is as important as playing,” as he had seen many NFL players lose themselves after retiring from football.
For this reason, he expanded his options by writing a one-page treatment highlighting the darkness of his childhood.

Warner Bros. Television President Peter Roth read his treatment and worked with Paysinger for a year developing the pilot, which CW agreed to produce and title All America.
The series is loosely based on his time at high school and his football career.
He was heavily involved in the series as a producer and even had a small role as Assistant Coach Davis in several episodes of the show.
