Vin Diesel is an American actor, director, writer, and producer who is best known for portraying Dominic Toretto, the patriarch of a group of street racers in the Fast & Furious franchise.
Biography
He was born on July 18, 1967, in Alameda County, California, as Mark Sinclair.
He never knew his biological father.
Diesel is especially close with his mom Delora Sherleen Vincent.
His adoptive father, Irving H. Vincent, worked in the entertainment industry.
“Culturally, he made me who I am,” Diesel said about Irving. “He was a theatre director, so he also guided me artistically.”
He has three siblings – Paul (Diesel’s fraternal twin), Tim, and Samantha Vincent.
At age 7, Diesel, Paul, and several friends broke into a theatre. The director caught them and offered each a script and $20 to “come every day at four o’clock and learn your lines.’”
