From 2016-2018, Jopling studied Art History at the prestigious Stanford University.
She distinguished herself during her time there, earning the Lorenz Eitner Prize in Art and Art History for her Honors Thesis entitled “The Studio of Anselm Kiefer: a Crucible of Transubstantiation”.
Following graduation from Stanford, Jopling relocated to London, where she studied for a Master of Arts in ‘Curating the Art Museum.’ She finished her master’s in September 2021.

Jopling has also dabbled in acting, though this has not been the primary focus of her career.
She made her debut in a 2008 episode of the English Civil War drama The Devil’s Mistress (also sometimes titled The Devil’s Whore), in a bit-part as ‘Young Angelica Fanshawe’.
Jopling next had a role in the movie Nowhere Boy, a movie chronicling the early years of the music legend John Lennon. In the movie – which was directed by Jopling’s mother, Sam Taylor-Johnson – Jopling played the role of ‘Julia – aged 8’.
Jopling next appeared in a 2013 episode of the cult British detective show Johnathan Creek. Joplin was cast in the minor role of ‘Kate.’
Angelica’s final acting credit (to date) was in the 2013 satirical superhero movie Kickass 2, where she appeared as ‘Lois.’ The movie also stars her mother’s husband, Aaron Taylor-Johnson.
Art Career

Jopling applied for a grant for an art project during her time at Stanford University but failed to receive approval for it. Nevertheless, the idea stuck with her, and she eventually opened a commercial art gallery in London in April 2023.
The art gallery, in Marylebone, had a particular focus on performance art, and Jopling stated that it would bear a particular focus on up-and-coming artists.
Though the Marylebone was Incubator’s first permanent installation, Jopling has twice established Incubator as a temporary ‘pop-up’ exhibition in the past – once in 2021 and again in 2022, both installations appearing in the London district of Soho.
In an interview regarding the installation, Jopling stated that the gallery would be open “seasonally,” with exhibitions shown in both spring and autumn sessions.
