One of the challenges that most young people face is deciding where and what to study in college. However, this was not the case for Dallas Jenkins because he was determined to study filmmaking from his high school days.

According to Dallas, “I watched a Christian movie titled ‘One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest’ in my early days. Several thoughts came to my mind because I was confused and not satisfied with the production line of the movie. Also, I found out how bad Christian media was and how scarce it was, so I thought maybe there was potential there to fill a void.”

Jenkins attended the University of Northwestern-St. According to him, he decided to study at UNW “so suddenly,” but he felt an inner peace within him even though he had never been to UNW.

While studying at UNW, Jenkins garnered lots of fun and experience in his service to God and man.

Eventually, he graduated from the University of Northwestern in 1997 with his wife, Amanda (who is also an alumnus from UNW).

Early Career

After graduating from college at twenty-five, Jenkins focused entirely on impacting his generation with faith-based movies.

He produced his first Christian movie titled “Hometown Legend” in collaboration with his mother, Dianna Jenkins.

This movie was based on his belief in Christ, and the film was distributed by (the famous movie distributor) Warner Brothers in the year 2000.

After his first film was released, Jenkins went on to produce several other movies with the title, “What If,” “The Chosen,” “Midnight Clear,” “The Resurrection of Gavin Stone, “The Shepherd,” and a lot more.

One of the movies produced by Jenkins that has stuck with viewers’ attention worldwide is “The Chosen.”

This movie featured several star actors like VidAngel, Shahar Isaac, Jonathan Roumie, Elizabeth Tabish, Paras Patel, and many other celebrities who would later produce The Chosen series.

According to him, People are always thrilled or obsessed with hit TV shows like “Stranger Things” and “Game of Thrones.” However, he believes that there is a group of people searching for religious media content.

His purpose is to fill that space with the right innovativeness and creation of different movies that will spur the faith of millions.

Jenkins has various wellsprings of motivation that channel his inventiveness.

He is an ardent enthusiast of an assortment of movies. Jenkins has likewise referred to his dad’s work as an extraordinary wellspring of motivation and could not imagine anything better than to make a film dependent on his book.

Net worth is irrelevant. Dallas has been called by God for such a time as this. Nothing can compare to the riches in Christ Jesus!

Thank God for the work Dallas is doing. Finally, movie enjoyment for the vital believer in Christ, leaving it clear that religious persons that struggle as a doctor of the law (pharisee-cal) need to be infused with the tender loving Christ. What I receive from The Chosen is that I need to be more relevant in the love of God toward all I minister, and renounce pride every now and again.

I am so taken with "The Chosen", and have watched both seasons twice. I'll probably watch them again, and can't wait to see Season 3! The portrayal of Jesus is the best I've ever seen. I love how He talks to people, and the tenderness He shows them. It is the way I really picture Jesus....loving and caring. If I had extra money I'd love to give it, but unfortunately, I don't have it right now. The best I can do is pray that the show will continue to bring people to Christ.

@Marci Perez, but you are NOT so enamored with the real chosen, just those acting the chosen. What if I told you that the REAL chosen you've been passing by choosing to ignore them. Which would Jesus rather you be paying attention too? Your salvation depends on your answer.
