So, how much is Lloyd Owen worth?

Lloyd Owen is a British actor of distinction who has played multiple roles in British TV, film, and theatre since the nineties.

His various roles have been his primary source of income as an actor and have contributed to his net worth.

His first high-profile acting job came in 1992 when he was cast to play Henry Jones Sr., Indiana’s father, in eight TV episodes of The Young Indian Jones Chronicles.

His next job came in the much-loved British TV drama Monarch of the Glen, which documented the trials and tribulations of a well-to-do Scottish family as they were adjusting to life in the present day.

He appeared in 25 episodes of the show as it ran from 2002 to 2005.

Owen followed up his appearance on Monarch of the Glen with a role in The Innocence Project, which was a short-lived show exclusively shown on BBC Northern Ireland.

It suffered the ignominy of being pulled mid-season, and no subsequent episodes were aired.

While several other TV shows followed, with notable credits in Miss Potter, The Innocence Project, and Taking the Flak, Owen has always professed his love for the theatre, and it’s on the stage where he comes into his own.

As a young man just starting out in theatre, he landed roles in the Cheek and Jowl productions of some of Shakespeare’s plays, including Twelfth Night, Macbeth, and The Tempest.

His classical training at Highgate School and his early experiences in the National Youth Theatre enabled him to secure some high-profile roles in the industry.

He made his landmark performance on stage in Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf in 1996.

At the same time, he was completing his A-levels and was still technically a student. He received rave reviews for his performance in the show for such a young actor, and this was the role that catalyzed his career on stage.

In 2012, Owen played Frank Farmer in the musical production of The Bodyguard, the movie that was such a hit with Kevin Costner and Whitney Houston.

Reflecting on his portrayal of Frank Farmer, Owen said:

“From a boy’s perspective, Kevin (Costner) was pretty cool. I remember absolutely loving it (the film). It was such a big event at the time. I’ve watched it subsequently, and it’s like a period piece; it’s so bizarre. We’re kind of somewhere different from that, too. I think it really lends itself to being a live musical, given the extraordinary audience reaction.”

The musical was a hit and contributed further to Owen’s success as an actor, as well as the broad range of shows that he added to his repertoire.

After The Bodyguard, Owen appeared in Midsomer Murders and Silent Witness on TV, as well as the 2018 film Thugs of Hindostan when he played John Clive.

In 2022, Owen appeared in The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power. Other cat members include Charles Edwards and Maxim Baldry.

Therefore, Lloyd Owen has an estimated net worth of $2 million.
