Pastor Troy (birth name – Micah LeVar Troy) is an American rapper who has released many studio albums including – I Am D.S.G.B., Zero Tolerance, Hell 2 Pay, The Last Outlaw, Face Off, By Choice or by Force, Clubber Lang, and Love Me, Hate Me.

Biography

He was born on November 18, 1977, in College Park, Georgia, USA.

His stage name was inspired by his father’s profession as a pastor.

Troy graduated from Creekside High School.

In 1999, he released his first album, We Ready (I Declare War) via Madd Society Records/Candy Coated Management.

On September 12, 2000, Troy released his second album, ”I Am D.S.G.B.” via MCA Records.

On May 22, 2001, he released another album, called – ”Face Off.” It guest featured Peter the Disciple, Nature Boy, Co-Ed, and Nino Storm.

On September 24, 2002, Pastor Troy released Universal, Universal Soldier (2002). Some of the featured guests on the album are Peter the Disciple, Pastor Troy Sr., Timbaland, and Ms. Jade. The singles Vica Versa and Are We Cuttin had become popular at the time. 

He appeared on rapper Young Jeezy’s album Come Shop wit’ Me in 2003.

In 2004, Troy released another album, By Any Means Necessary, via Universal Records. It featured DJ Mars, Ms. Shyneka, Lil Will, and Juvenile.

Pastor Troy and rapper Killer Mike appeared on Chamillionaire’s song “Southern Takeover” in 2005.

On March 1, 2005, Pastor Troy released his 8th album, named – ”Face Off, Part II.” It featured Mr. Gary, Sky, and Pimpin Ken.

On July 3, 2007, Troy released the studio album ”Tool Muziq.” Guest artists include Hitman Sammy Sam, Fabo of D4L, Mr. Mudd, and Gangsta Boo. Producers on ”Tool Muziq” include:

  • Drumma Boy;
  • DJ Squeeky;
  • Shawty Redd;
  • Three 6 Mafia.

On February 19, 2008, the rapper released his 12th album, entitled Attitude Adjuster. The album has sold over 6,400 units in its first week of release and it debuted at number #116 on the US Billboard 200 chart.

On December 29, 2011, Troy started his YouTube channel, which has over 61k subscribers.

In 2015, he received the Independent Icon Award from That Rabbit.

O.G.P.T. album was released on July 28, 2017 via Madd Society Records.

On September 28, 2018, Troy released the album Clubber Lang also via Madd Society Records.

Wife/Girlfriend

Pastor Troy is not married, but in 2016, it was rumored that he is in a relationship with Ashley “Minnie” Ross, an actress who is best known for starring in the reality series Little Women: Atlanta. Troy guest-starred in two episodes of Little Women: Atlanta.

However, in one episode of Little Women: Atlanta, Minnie said that she and Pastor Troy are just friends. In her words:

”Juicy [Shirlene King Pearson] was right about me and Troy. Troy was never my boyfriend, we were just friends.”

Update – Minnie died at Grady Memorial Hospital from injuries following a car accident in April 2020.

In 2010, Troy received an endorsement deal with ESPN. He said for Hiphopdx: ”I’m just getting into all these endorsement deals and stuff, because rap is so big now you just gotta find your niche and keep grindin’ it out.”

Therefore, Pastor Troy has an estimated net worth of $6 million.
