The Origin Story

His parents signed him up for dance class when he was five years old, and he was trained in ballet, jazz, and tap, with some hip-hop on the side.

His classes lasted until he was 13 years old when he decided he wanted to focus more on tv and film acting. However, his dance skills play a role in some of the roles he has been cast in, including theater productions and musicals.

Sacha began acting in theatrical productions at nine years old.

A few of his first roles were in local shows, including Tarzan (playing young Tarzan), The Sound of Music, and Mary Poppins. All of his early projects were a part of Kelrik Productions and PCPA-Pacific Conservatory Theater in Santa Maria, currently known as San Luis Obispo Repertory Theater.

These are undoubtedly significant accomplishments for a new young actor who had no professional camera or stage experience.

During an interview, he recalls that these roles were his first experiences working with professional actors, and it opened his eyes to performing in front of a live audience. His mind was set, and he was determined to become a professional actor.

In 2014, Sacha’s talent was recognized, and he signed up with a Los Angeles-based talent and acting agency.

His association with his talent agency meant he had access to more auditions, which required aspiring actors to be registered with an accredited agency.

Before he had his big break, he was cast in The Lost Captain, a short film produced by Chapman University.

Following this project, he was chosen to participate in an improv workshop at The Groundlings Theater, based out of Los Angeles.

He quickly began auditioning for more roles, anything from minor to lead roles, when these projects ended.

While he wasn’t successful with all auditions, he had a stroke of luck in 2017 when he was cast to make an appearance as Skut Farkus in Fox’s “A Christmas Story Live.”

This was a short-lived role, but brand promoting, nonetheless.

Just a short while later, in 2018, Sacha landed another significant role.

He was cast to co-star in two episodes of the ABC sitcom ”American Housewife.”

Sacha performed so well in this role that he attracted the casting agent’s eyes toward his budding talent. It wasn’t a far-fetched idea to presume his next part would be much more significant.

Sacha originally auditioned for the leading role, Luke Patterson, but he was unsuccessful. He was one of the top contestants but was told that the casting agents preferred to bring him on for the supporting role of Nick.

This was the turning point in this up-and-coming career.

The show aired on Netflix America and Canada on September 10, 2020, and lasted one season.

In addition, Sacha spent his time sharpening his dance skills at Harbour Dance Center in downtown Vancouver between weekly filming.

He also wanted to pass the message on to his fans.

“That’s my motto. I just try to learn as much as I can from as many different people as I can. And especially this I’ve been really trying to work on, you know, music and singing. I’ve been doing vocal warms up every day just to build muscles and try to increase it because I have time. Learning to utilize your time to get better at something or learn a new skill, I can’t stress that enough it’s so important. Just from my experience, that will take you so far, and it will open so many different doors that you wouldn’t expect.”
