Is Tom Brady a Christian? – 7 Things You Didn’t Know about Tom Brady
Introduction
When people talk about the NFL’s best quarterbacks, there are some truly incredible names that get mentioned.
You’ve got guys like Peyton Manning, Dan Marino, Russell Wilson, Brett Favre, Joe Montana, and many more.
While these players were all incredible quarterbacks, there’s one player who many consider to be the G.O.A.T and best quarterback to ever play in the NFL, and that player is Tom Brady.
Tom Brady played in the NFL for 23 seasons, 20 of which he spent with his beloved New England Patriots.
From 2001 to 2019, he was a key figure in the success of the team.
He spent his final 3 seasons with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, helping them to capture a Super Bowl title along the way.
Aged 44, he retired in early 2023, leaving the Gridiron with 5 SB MVP Awards and a whopping 7 Super Bowl rings.
He went out considered not only the best quarterback in the history of the NFL but one of the best players in general.
Outside of the NFL, however, not much is known about Tom.
His fans often wonder, for example, is Tom Brady a Christian?
To help you learn more about this extraordinary athlete, here are several things you probably didn’t know about him.
He was the 199th NFL draft pick in 2000
Virtually any year between 2001 and 2020, Tom Brady would be any team’s first draft pick in the NFL.
He was the Messi or Ronaldo of the NFL and is considered the greatest of all time.
As hard to believe as it may be, however, this was not always the case.
During the 2000 NFL draft pick, Brady was the 199th pick overall. That means that 198 players were picked before him.
Eventually, the Patriots had to “settle” for Brady in the sixth round.
Now, we don’t know for certain, but what we can say with some certainty is that The Patriots probably thanked their lucky stars every night for the next two decades that they took a chance on the youngster.
No other player has played in more Super Bowls
When you’re a player who is almost as accomplished as Tom Brady is, you can probably expect to play in a Super Bowl or two if you’re lucky.
If you’re on Tom’s level, however, you can expect plenty of Super Bowls in your future.
During his career, Tom won 7 Super Bowl rings.
He would, however, appear in 10 Super Bowls.
That feat alone is incredible enough, but when you factor in the fact that no other player has ever achieved that feat, it becomes even more impressive.
As of this writing, Tom Brady has played in four more Super Bowls than any other player in NFL history. That record is likely to stand for a very long time.
Tom has won more Super Bowls than any other franchise
Not only has Tom Brady won more Super Bowls than any other NFL player, but he has also won more Super Bowls than any other franchise.
The New England Patriots have 6 to their name (largely thanks to Tom), as do the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Tom, however, has 7.
6 of which he won with the Pats, and the final he won with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Brady has three children
Because he has so many adoring fans, they, of course, want to learn more about Tom and his personal life away from the NFL.

In 2006, Brady began dating Brazilian model Gisele Bündchen, they married in 2009 and have two children together named Vivian Lake and Benjamin Rein.
Tom also has a third child from his previous relationship, when he found out early on in his relationship with Bündchen, that his ex-partner was pregnant.
Jack is his eldest son.
Brady was not a fan of the weight room
One thing you notice about NFL players is that not only are they incredible athletes, but most of them are jacked.
Whereas some players will bench 300 pounds and quat 500 pounds, Tom didn’t train like your traditional football jock.
Instead, he took a different approach to his training.
Obviously, he did some weight work, but he certainly didn’t train like a powerlifter.
In fact, he preferred to work with resistance bands and train his muscles that way.
Tom would train for mobility, flexibility, and explosive speed and power.
The resistance bands, coupled with a strict diet, helped him stay at the top of his game for more than two decades!
Brady wanted to retire at 45
For some players, staying at the top of your game in your thirties is hard enough, so to make it to 40 and still be competitive is nothing short of remarkable.
For Tom Brady, however, he was in his finest form throughout his thirties and much of his forties as well, winning multiple Super Bowls along the way.
Brady told those closest to him that he wanted to retire at 45, and most scoffed, thinking he’d be lucky to be playing at 35.
He would ultimately, however, have the last laugh and get his wish of retiring at age 45.
So, is Tom Brady a Christian?
A lot of his fans wonder about his religious beliefs, which is why we’re looking at the question of Is Tom Brady a Christian. In an interview, Tom would say that he isn’t particularly religious and is more spiritual.

In a 2005 interview for “60 Minutes” with Steve Kroft, Brady said that – “I reached my goal, my dream, my life. Me, I think: God, it’s gotta be more than this. I mean, this can’t be what it’s all cracked up to be. I mean, I’ve done it. I’m 27. And what else is there for me?”
Steve replied – “What’s the answer?.” And Brady answered – “I wish I knew.” Here is the entire interview.
