He was born on May 31, 1930, in San Francisco, California, as Clinton Eastwood Jr, to Ruth and Clinton Eastwood.

In 1950, he was drafted into the U.S. Army. He was stationed at Fort Ord, California. However, he never served overseas.
In 1953, Clint was discharged from the army and moved to Hollywood.

In 1983, he directed the fourth Dirty Harry film, Sudden Impact.
From 1986 until 1988, Clint served as Mayor of Carmel-by-the-Sea.
