Cody Detwiler is the man behind the WhistlinDiesel YouTube channel.
The Argos, Indiana, native was born on July 18, 1998, and comes from a tight-knit family who all love adventure, adrenaline, and automobiles. He’s actually from rural parts of Indiana.
When Cody graduated from high school, he knew he wanted to do something with vehicles—but did he really want to spend years on a mechanical apprenticeship and work his way up?
The answer was no.

#2. Is WhistlinDiesel still with his wife?
That’s a no. In July 2022, WhistlinDiesel confirmed rumors that he and his wife Rae had separated. The rumors had been circulating for a year by the time WhistlinDiesel addressed them. Cody and Rachel Detwiler had been posting content together since the beginning of the WhistlinDiesel channel and posted frequent videos of dangerous car stunts as well as expensive trucks and sports cars.
The pair were so intertwined online, in fact, that Rachel—who usually goes by Rae in her husband’s clips—called her channel Mrs. WhistlinDiesel.
So, when the pair stopped posting together, fans grew a little suspicious.
From there, some even noticed that WhistlinDiesel had stopped following his own wife across her social media accounts.
Speculation continued when fans noticed that Rae had launched an OnlyFans account.
While some hardcore WhistlinDiesel followers figured the pair may need the cash, most were surprised that her husband would be okay with Rae selling adult content online.
In an Instagram post, Rae came clean in the comments to say that she could easily make “$273k in just five hours” but didn’t address questions about her marital status.

Yes, he does. When Cody Detwiler confirmed rumors that he and his wife Rae were no longer together, he didn’t say it in so many words. Instead, he posted a photo of himself sitting in a Lamborghini while a girl did the splits in fishnet stockings.
In his caption, the popular YouTube content creator referenced his “gf cleaning the wheels”—and he tagged Katie Miller in the post.

#4. Did WhistlinDiesel really get married at 18?
Yes, Whistlin Diesel got married very young.
It was 2016 when Cody and Rae Detwiler became Mr and Mrs WhistlinDiesel.
Rae was 18 years old. Cody had just turned 18, and he was still on the cusp of finding fame on YouTube.
The pair celebrated their honeymoon at Glacier National Park in Montana.
Fast-forward five years, and the marriage is over, but both WhistlinDiesel and the influencer formerly known as Mrs WhistlinDiesel are both doing well.
Rae stopped posting content related to her ex in 2021—which is what sparked suspicion that the couple had broken up.
She has also stayed tight-lipped on the break-up, instead focusing on her own career.
