On October 18, 2001, her sister Emily Couric, died of pancreatic cancer at the age of 54.

Also in 2001, she was named one of People Magazine’s 25 Most Intriguing People.

In May 2003, she guest-hosted ”The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.”

Karie was inducted into the Television Hall of Fame in 2004.

Monahan passed away on January 24, 1998, due to colon cancer.

”Our daughters were 6 and 2 at the time, and it’s really hard to describe the kind of heartbreak that ensued after he passed away,” Couric later said in an interview.

She dated Brooks Perlin for about five years.

In 2013, Couric got engaged to banker John Molner after dating for two years. They first met through a mutual friend.

On June 21, 2014, Katie Couric married John Molner in East Hampton, New York.

Karie has two daughters, Elinor “Ellie” and Caroline “Carrie” with her first husband.
