Liz’s celebrity chef husband is of Greek, Eastern European, and Italian lineage, so one could say that food is in his DNA.

On 19th September 1969, Michael was born in Cleveland, Ohio, USA, and went to St. Richard School and graduated from St. Edward High School in 1987.

His first job in the food industry involved working part-time at Geppetto’s Pizza and Ribs as a cook. It was while working here that he decided to continue studying to receive his degree from the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York, in 1990.

Michael is an owner of multiple restaurants, but he somehow finds the time to show up regularly on TV in Food Network Shows like Brew and ‘Que, Burgers, and appearances on The Crew and Cook Like an Iron Chef.
