Lorinska Merrington Net Worth | Husband

What is Lorinska Merrington’s net worth? Who is Lorinska Merrington’s husband?

Introduction

Lorinska Merrington is one of the Australian stars of the Netflix hit reality show, Yummy Mummies.

Fame came suddenly to the beautiful Melbourne primary school teacher.

So suddenly that she woke up one morning and her Instagram following had increased by almost 696,000 followers.

The show was also picked up by the UK and American television networks, making the Australian mum a global celebrity.

Since then, Lorinska has parlayed her television fame into a best-selling pregnancy and conception app, a clothing line, and multiple brand ambassador roles.

Here’s what we know about the very busy Yummy Mummy of Netflix.

The Origin Story

Lorinska Merrington was born in Melbourne, Australia, on August 1, 1985.

She met Carlton football pro Andrew Merrington as a young model, but the pair were on very different trajectories at the time.

Andrew—who was in his prime at the club—and Lorinska broke up, and she signed a lucrative modeling contract.

Despite the pair choosing to focus on their careers instead of their relationship, Lorinska once admitted that she couldn’t get her ex-boyfriend out of her mind.

After several months apart, the star crossed lovers made a compromise: Andrew signed to a Perth team and Lorinska joined Chadwick Model Management.

The Rest, as they say, is history.

Andrew and Lorinska Merrington tied the knot in 2015, in an elegant luxury wedding, in a designer wedding gown that she claims cost more than $15,000.

Yummy Mummies

Far from the bright lights and chaos of the modeling world, Lorinska Merrington has found chaos of a different kind—as a mom.

In a reality television show that is as divisive, cringeworthy, and trashy as it is entertaining, Yummy Mummies is a warts ‘n’ all look at pregnancy for the pampered set.

Lorinska has long understood herself to be an acquired taste.

“People will either love me or hate me,” she said when the show first aired in Australia.

Lorinska accepts that all moms “do motherhood” differently, and was excited to share her own story with viewers. But she also understood that she would probably be judged by someone, somewhere, at some point in her television journey.

And she was right.

The Critics Come Out

In the beginning, critics slammed the Yummy Mummies clique for being unrelatable.

And it was a fact—from their bouquets made of $100 bills to their diamond “push presents” and designer baby clothes, moms just didn’t get it.

But the fantasy of a life so out of touch with reality still made for good trashy television viewing.

Fortunately for Lorinska, she had her girlfriends along for the ride with her.

Rachel Watts—often recognized as being the most down to earth of the Yummy Mummies—is married to a real estate agency executive, and has known Lorinska for over a decade.

Jane Scandizzo is the wife of famed hairdresser Joey Scandizzo, a mom of three, and a former model.

Merrington met Scandizzo back in their modeling days, and has also been a long-term client of Joey Scandizzo for years.

The trio all happened to be pregnant at the same time, and were linked up with Adelaide mom, Maria Di Geronimo, for the first episode of the show.

As the only one that wasn’t already friends with the rest of the cast, Di Geronimo hosted everyone at her extravagant Adelaide baby shower.

Lorinska—who you might also recognize from the Australian drama series, Offspring, or the Chemist Warehouse ads—eventually won hearts over four seasons of the show.

Fans warmed to her as they got to know and understand how some struggles affected every mom, at any income level.

Healing From Loss

During filming for Yummy Mummies season four, Lorinska surprised her husband with the news that she was pregnant again.

Sadly, the pregnancy ended in a miscarriage.

In an Australian publication interview, Lorinska vented about how nobody talks about miscarriage, and how everyone suffers alone thinking they are “broken.”

Merrington felt like a failure, and living out her loss in the public eye made things exponentially worse for her.

In May 2023, Lorinska and her husband welcomed their third child.

A New Adventure

Juggling motherhood, wife duties, a hit television show, and a clothing label clearly isn’t enough for Lorinska Merrington.

She also co-founded a startup to launch Bub.app—a pregnancy and preconception app that tracks everything women need to take them from baby making to baby birthing and beyond.

The app is officially a top seller on the Google Play and Apple Stores.

Lorinska was also the 2020 brand ambassador for Biostime Children’s Nutrition, the owner of Royale by Lorinska clothing, a judge for Fashion in the Field at the Melbourne Cup race, and a co-host for the Good Friday Appeal and 3AW radio show.

If all that isn’t enough, Lorinska has one more career to fall back on if Yummy Mummies gets canceled any time soon: she’s a qualified primary school teacher who specializes in early childhood development and special needs integration.
