At age 11, Shiesty was kicked out of school after someone claimed he had brought a gun to school.

He started making music at 18 years old. His first release was a feature on rapper K Carbon’s remix of Three 6 Mafia’s “Weak Azz Bitch.”

In 2018, Pooh released the single ”Breaking News.”

In 2019, Lontrell released the single “Hell Night,” featuring Big30. In the same year, Pooh was featured on NLE Choppa’s song ”Uppin the Score.”

On March 11, 2020, Williams released the single ”At It Again.”

”He DMed me on Instagram and was just like, “What’s up homie? You too hard. Keep going,” Shiesty explained in February 2021. ”We FaceTimed, and it was up from there.”

In May 2020, Lontrell started a YouTube channel. As of May 2021, his channel has over 853k subscribers. ”YouTube matters and has been mattering for years,” he told Vice.

On September 9, 2020, Williams released the single ”Twerksum,” which is part of Gucci Mane’s So Icy Gang, Vol. 1.


In October 2020, he was arrested in connection with a shooting in Bay Harbor Islands. He was booked at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center in West Miami-Dade.

According to police, the shooting left two men hospitalized. The incident happened due to a “drug and expensive sneaker deal gone wrong.”

His defense attorney said: ”To believe that he shows up to this alleged robbery to rob a person with his own $30,000 in cash with someone that he rented the car from.”

He was eventually released on a $30,000 bond.

On November 6, 2020, Shiesty released the single “Back in Blood,” featuring rapper Lil Durk. “Back in Blood” peaked at #13 on the Billboard Hot 100. It was certified gold on February 22, 2021.

In January 2021, he was named as one of Billboard’s 2021 Artists to Watch.

On February 5, 2021, Lontrell released his debut mixtape – ”Shiesty Season” via Atlantic Records and Gucci Mane’s The New 1017. ”I got big features, big producers on here, and I got my main producers I been rocking with,” he said.

It sold more than 62,000 albums in its first week of release and debuted at #4 on the US Billboard 200. The mixtape peaked at number two on US Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums.

”Shiesty Season” features the likes of Tay Keith, Choppa Wop, Lil Durk, Lil Hank, Gucci Mane, Foogiano, Veeze, 21 Savage, and Big30. 

In 2021, music streaming platform Audiomack announced Williams as the Company’s latest #UpNow Artist.

”Thank you to Audiomack for consistently supporting me and my music,” Shiesty said in a press release. He added: ”It feels great to be recognized, and I appreciate all of the love. It’s only up from here.”

In April 2021, Pooh performed “Back In Blood” on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. ”I’m finally getting the shine I deserve,” Lontrell said.

In April 2022, he was sentenced to 5 years and 3 months in prison
