Technoblade Net Worth – $3 million
What was Technoblade’s net worth at the time of his death?
Introduction
Technoblade—originally known as TechnoThePig—was an online gamer and YouTuber with over 15.9 million subscribers.
Known for his comedic commentary on Minecraft videos and his quirky approach to the gaming community, Technoblade was one of the influencer sphere’s favorite gamers.
Here’s what we know about his meteoric rise to social media stardom.
The Origin Story
Technoblade was born on June 1st, 1999.
Many in the gaming community believe that his name is Alexander, although the social media gamer hasn’t confirmed that officially on any of his channels.
What his followers and fans know for sure is that the San Francisco, California, resident has four siblings—a brother named Chris and three younger sisters.
He also had a dog named Floof.
Technoblade has grown up in the Sunshine State, attending high school on the west coast.
He graduated high school in 2017 and took a year off before heading to college in Chicago, Illinois.
After less than a year at college, Technoblade dropped out and returned to San Francisco, where he lives with his father.
Technoblade was notoriously private about most areas of his life—including his appearance.
Throughout his streaming and gaming career, he has very seldom revealed his face to viewers.
He has shared his height, though—a towering 6’2.5!
Another area Techno isn’t shy to share with his fans is mental health—he has made many references to the fact that he suffers from attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).
A Soaring Career
Technoblade has built his YouTube career around Minecraft’s Hypixel server.
Initially, he uploaded recorded footage and gaming commentary once a month.
This increases to once a week on occasion, although the avid Minecraft gamer once attempted daily vlog episodes.
The attempt was short-lived.
Technoblade is a well-known face in the gaming community, and often features Minecraft live streams on Hypixel Bed Wars, Minecraft Story Mode, Party Games, SMP Earth, and Minecraft Mondays.
He joined SMP Earth—a Minecraft Factions server—in November of 2019.
The server allows gamers—specifically YouTubers—to exercise their Minecraft survival skills on a 3000:1 scale recreation of planet Earth.
Circle Of Friends
Technoblade has also earned the respect of fellow gamers, even gaining a spot in the collaborative gaming syndicate SleepyBoisInc.
The Sleepy Bois collective features fellow gaming influencers like Wilbur Soot, TommyInnit, and Ph1LzA.
Amongst the Sleepy Bois, Techno is often referred to as The Blade—a nickname coined by TommyInnit.
A Claim To Fame
Technoblade earned PIG+++ status on the Hypixel server after quadruple wins at the Minecraft Monday tournaments.
He’s also well respected in the gaming community for excelling at PVP (player vs. player) combat.
A lot of his footage showcases his excellent combat skills, and he has collaborated with countless gaming influencers and his Sleepy Bois teammates to boost his reputation as a stellar Minecraft warrior.
But Technoblade is no one-trick pony. He’s tried his hand at cooking videos, and created hilarious skits of him showing off his YouTube awards against a green screen.
He also plays a variety of other games on his channel, including the Minecraft spin-off, Story Mode, and Blade II: Bannerlord.

A Brush With Cancel Culture
In 2021, Technoblade ran into some hostile territory in the real world. Outraged Twitter users came across a Tweet posted by the popular gamer in which he asked, “Was H####r a l####an?”
The response—although it took 4 years to arrive—was extremely negative. Many of those opposed to Technoblade called for the gamer to be canceled, and for YouTube users to unsubscribe from his channel.
To date, there has been no real fallout for the social media celeb, although he had a temporary drop in daily video views in the direct aftermath of the drama.
He did, however, take some pre-emptive measures to make sure it didn’t happen again: he set his old videos to private.
Many fans of the gaming influencer were quick to note that multiple videos on Technoblade’s channel have been set to private. The popular theory is that this protects Techno from having his own content used against him—a fair call given that his naysayers hunted down an offensive Tweet from 2017.
Death
In June 2022, Technoblade died of metastatic sarcoma.
He was 23.
