Eventually, Nepola went down on one knee to propose to his blonde girlfriend at the foot of the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree in New York City.
Both Alexia and Todd have been married before—Alexia has been married twice and Todd once—and this time around, the pair decided to keep things very low-key as they tied the knot.
Scheduling Conflicts
Todd Nepola and Alexia Echevarria’s road to the altar wasn’t a smooth one.
First, the pair rescheduled their nuptials in 2020 to avoid the pandemic.
Then, in 2021, Echevarria’s mother fell sick shortly before their wedding. Because of the severity of her illness, the pair postponed their wedding yet again.
Echevarria’s mother passed away on the day the couple was due to tie the knot, with Alexia sharing on social media that “what was supposed to be the happiest day of my life has [turned into] the saddest.”
Four months later, on December 16, 2021, Nepola married his blonde girlfriend in St Barths.

Case in point: the dramatic confrontation that took place in season 4 of the Real Housewives of Miami.
Tensions arose throughout the season between Todd—who was Alexia’s fiance at the time—and her adult son, Peter.
Peter is upset about his mother’s engagement, and refuses to “participate and all this [expletive].”
Alexia, noticeably upset, is defended by Todd, who goes on to call Echevarria’s son a “loser” who will “wind up in jail.”
The petulant Peter resorts to physically threatening Nepola, who threatens him in return.
