Introduction
Carl Radke is an American reality TV star and businessman.
He is most famous for his appearance on the reality TV show “Summer House.”
The Origin Story
Radke was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, on January 27th, 1985.
Little is known of his childhood, but it is known that his brother, Curtis, died in August 2020.
Radke attended Upper St. Clair High School, Pittsburgh, and graduated in 2003.
Following this, he attended Syracuse University in New York State, graduating with a BSc in Radio, Television and Digital Communication.
Professional Career
Following graduation, Radke worked as a production assistant on the acclaimed TV show “Criminal Minds” from 2007-2009.
Radke claims his responsibilities on the show were many, and that he frequently worked more than 65 hours a week.
Following his time on Criminal Minds, Radke worked as a sales professional at Danaher Corporation from 2009-2011.
The corporation, which worked extensively within the field of orthodontics, employed Radke as a “territory sales professional.”
After a stint at the competing firm of Thommen Medical in LA, where he worked from 2011-2013, Radke returned to Danaher Corporation and stayed there for four years, until 2017.
During this time, he was a territory manager for the orthodontics giant.
From 2013-2019, Radke worked at GLO Science Professional, Yotpo, and Spotfund, respectively, as an orthodontic specialty consultant, account executive, and senior advisor.
Summer House
Radke appeared as a contestant on the US reality TV show “Summer House.”
The show, something of a cross between reality hits “Big Brother” and “Love Island,” follows a group of friends who are renting a house together in the Hamptons.
Radke has been a mainstay of the show since season 1, and is still a main cast member in season 7.
Radke has cultivated an image as something of a ladies’ man, and is characterized on the show by his roguishness and flirtatiousness.
Radke has been involved in several romances (and heartbreaks) on the show, and has frequently crossed words with several of the other housemates during his time there.
Loverboy
As a result of his time on “Summer House,” Radke formed a fast relationship with fellow housemate Kyle Cook.
The two would later go on to collaborate on Cook’s brainchild, the alcoholic beverage brand “Loverboy.”
Radke worked as VP of Sales at Loverboy for 3 years, helping to develop, promote and market the brand’s popular range of alcoholic drinks.
Loverboy’s range of hard teas, canned cocktails, and spritzers are marketed as the perfect party drinks and are extremely popular with younger people.
Radke stepped down as VP of Sales in February 2023, citing the fact that it was very difficult to mix business with pleasure, and that he and Cook’s professional relationship was beginning to sour their personal one.
The two reportedly remain friends, and Radke remains an investor in Loverboy.
Personal Life
Carl Radke is engaged to fellow Summer House star Lindsay Hubbard.
“She’s someone that’s been an incredible support and part of my life,” Radke said about Lindsay in early 2022.
The two have not yet announced a date for the wedding. Update – they called off their engagement in August 2023. She said that Carl “blew up my entire life” when he ended their relationship.
