What is Dobre Brothers’ net worth?
Introduction
For a lot of Millennials, the Dobre Brothers could be living the dream. The four brothers—and yes, they are really brothers—make bank playing pranks on each other and their friends, creating hilarious skits, and dancing.
Lucas, Marcus, Cyrus, and Darius may all be representing the Dobre family now, but it all started with the youngest two siblings—Lucas and Marcus.
The twins struck it big on Vine with their funny dance videos, which they filmed in their local Maryland grocery store.
Here’s what we know about the fantastic foursome that have been viewed more than 3.8 billion times on their official YouTube channel.
The Origin Story
All four boys were born in Gaithersburg, Maryland.
Their parents, mom Aurelia Dobre and dad Boz Mofid, own Dobre Gymnastics Academy in the town of 60,000.
Aurelia is an award-winning gymnast with roots in Romania, and Boz is a gymnastics coach of Iranian-American descent.
Aurelia is the first gymnast from Romania to win the absolute title at the WC in Rotterdam in 1987, then the silver, in Seoul, in 1988.
First on the scene was Cyrus—born on 9th March 1993—and he was followed by younger brother Darius on 2nd August 1995. On 28th January 1999, the family welcomed twins Lucas and Marcus.
The four siblings spent most of their young lives in nearby Hagerstown, where they attended South Hagerstown High School.
Eldest bro Cyrus went on to enroll at the University of Iowa, earning a Bachelor of Strategic Communication and a Master’s in Sociology.
Treading his own path, Darius attended Towson University in his home state of Maryland.
The youngest of the Dobre Brothers had a different path in mind—one they didn’t really see coming.
In 2014 they started a Vine channel, making quirky, entertaining, acrobatic dance clips for a growing legion of fans. By the end of that year, at just 14 years old, the twins had over 310,000 followers on the social media platform.
Young, Wild, and Famous
The tween twins knew they needed to make the jump to YouTube, and they got a hand up from controversial Jake Paul.
Becoming part of the oft-maligned but uber-popular social media star’s Paul’s Team 10, the kids quickly gained a following on the platform.
Dropping the name that made them famous on Vine—Twinbotz—the boys adopted the more recognizable name: Lucas and Marcus.
To date, the guys have over 15 million subscribers and have amassed a staggering 3.6 billion views.
YouTube Becomes a Family Affair
Soon, Darius and Cyrus were paying attention to the success and adventure their kid brothers had found.
As a close-knit family, the foursome decided to try their hand at a channel of their own—and Dobre Brothers was born.
Their most popular video has almost 37 million views on YouTube and follows the boys as they switch girlfriends for a day. Their most popular music video—which we’ll get to in a minute—has 27 million views and counting.
Together, the sibling group is raking in almost 40 million views a month and averaging a whopping 3,000+ new subscribers every day.
In the summer of 2017, the talented brothers made the big move from Maryland to California, planning to base themselves in Los Angeles.
Tinseltown wasn’t everything the guys expected it to be, and they returned to Maryland in early 2018.
A Triple Threat?
The Dobre brothers may be known for their acrobatic dance moves and ease in front of the camera, but it turns out they’re also pretty skilled with a microphone.
Following the success of the Dobre Brothers’ YouTube channel, the boys added a few songs and a handful of music videos to their repertoire.
The songs—which are widely available on iTunes, Spotify, and their official YouTube channel—include:
- No Fakes
- Feelin’ Alright
- Be The Hero
- Stop That
- Live It Up
- You Know You Lit
The brothers have shown an interest in making more music but haven’t confirmed if they’ll be looking to sign to a record label and make it official at any point.
Whatever their future plans on the label front, they wound down a successful 21-stop tour in 2019.

Big bro Cyrus met his future wife—Christina Kalamvokis—in early 2017, and the couple tied the knot in 2018.
The newlyweds created their own YouTube channel, which gathered a strong subscriber base, before they announced in April 2020 that they were separating.
Christina, going by Stina Kayy, kept the YouTube account and it’s 2 million-plus followers.
Darius has been dating Madeline Damskey—known in their YouTube videos as Maddie—since early 2019. Younger sibling Lucas has more of a story to tell about his relationship with Ivanita Lomeli.
In 2017, twin Marcus challenged Lucas to kiss a stranger in a grocery store. Not one to shy away from a dare, Lucas kissed Ivanita.
On another occasion, Marcus and Lucas did the same dare—and Ivanita was there again. Taking it as a sign, Marcus set his bro up on a date with her, and the rest is history.
