He was born on August 10, 1991, in Indiana, USA.
His father is Tim Lynch. ”My dad was in the army, and then he was a waiter at Applebee’s,” Drew said about his dad.
Lynch went to a performing arts middle school and high school.
At age 19, he moved from Indiana to LA to pursue a career in film and television. ”I always wanted as a kid to be an actor, and I still want that,” he said.
Accident
About one year later, a softball hit him in the throat and knocked him down during a softball game.
The accident caused damage to his vocal cords and nerves in his larynx, leaving him with a stutter.
”It truly terrified me learning later the severity of my injury,” Lynch said in a later interview.
”People sometimes wonder if my stuttering is an act if I’m pulling their leg,” he told Cleveland Magazine. ”It can be frustrating.”
YouTube
On February 28, 2012, Drew started his YouTube channel. He frequently features his dog, Stella, in his videos. As of December 2020, it has over 2.24 million subscribers.
America’s Got Talent
In 2015, Drew auditioned for the 10th season of America’s Got Talent.
”I feel a lot of responsibility to show people that you can turn anything into a positive,” Drew said at his AGT audition. After his audition, judge Howie Mandel pressed his Golden Buzzer to send Lynch straight to the quarterfinals.
”Howie, who has his own set of neuroses, championed me,” Drew confessed. He added: ”I felt he was talking to me, peer-to-peer.”
