Austin Seibert, at the time of writing, is currently a free agent in the world of pro football.

He is a placekicker who played college football in Oklahoma, before being selected in the fifth round of the 2019 NFL Draft by multiple League Champions, the Cleveland Browns.

Austin was born on November 15th, 1996.

He attended and played football at Belleville High School-West, Illinois.

He would later go on to play the more competitive college football in Oklahoma. Austin immediately made an impact when he competed as a punter and placekicker. This performance helped put him on the radar of some much larger teams.

In 2019, the Cleveland Browns selected Austin in the fifth round of the 2019 NFL Draft.

He would sign with them in May. Finally, he realized his childhood dream of becoming an NFL star.

He made it out of training camp and found a place on the 53-man roster for the Browns, making his debut in his rookie season.

His first game for the Browns was against the Tennessee Titans. Despite the Browns losing, Austin converted one of two extra-point attempts and generally looked very impressive.

Things got better the following week when he kicked three field goals for the Browns against the New York Jets. Cleveland won 23 – 3.

2020 however, was far from ideal as Austin missed a field goal and an extra point in a game against the Baltimore Ravens.

The Browns lost and waived Seibert shortly afterwards.

He was picked up by the Cincinnati Bengals and played in 4 games during their 2020 season. He would make 6 out of 9 field goals, and many expected him to be a stayer here.

Sadly, Evan McPherson was chosen as their starting kicker.

The Detroit Lions claimed him off waivers, but after being placed on reserve lists, and injured lists; he was waived by the Lions in October 2022 following the signing of Michael Badgley.

Austin Seibert is currently without a team and is a free agent, though many predict that, given a chance to shine, he won’t disappoint. The only difficult part for Austin is finding an NFL team who will stick with him.

Jake Seibert stands at 6 foot 1 and weighs in at a svelte 190-pounds.

He plays for the Ohio State Buckeyes in the NCAA Division 1 Football Bowl Subdivision. The team represents Ohio State University.

In May 2019, the Ohio State Buckeyes offered Jake Seibert, with Jake committing to them the next month.

By August 1st, 2020, Jake had enrolled with the Buckeyes and was ready to make an impact. He most certainly did that as the sophomore really impressed. During practice in high school, he had played some corner and wide receiver, though it was kicking that he excelled at.

Wearing the number 98 Jersey, Jake was considered the second-best kicker in the entire country in the class of 2020. During his freshman season, he would convert 1 of 2 field goals as well as all 16 extra point attempts.

What’s even more remarkable is that he had stepped up in place of injured Blake Haubeil, who was the regular starter and was dealing with a groin injury, and then Covid-19.

Despite Jake impressing so much, due to competition from Parker Lewis and Noah Ruggles, he struggled to make the team and enjoy playing time as a kicker.

Seibert gradually began the transition from kicker to cornerback, where he added a great deal of depth to the Buckeyes’ team.

Considering his success at La Salle while in high school, Jake’s transition to cornerback looks extremely promising, and many are predicting big things for this youngster.
