Judge Bruce Schroeder is a US lawyer and a Wisconsin circuit judge for Kenosha County.
He is somewhat of a celebrity as he is the longest-serving state judge in Wisconsin, as he was first appointed way back in 1983.
The fact that he has been a judge for four decades now is nothing short of remarkable.
Despite Bruce having been in the business for four decades, he only became a public figure back in 2021, as he was the presiding judge on the Kyle Rittenhouse trial.
Bruce gained a reputation for being a no-nonsense judge, and saw his fair share of controversy over the years.
Bruce is best described as being ‘old school’ and has a reputation for being very strict.
Many defendants would actually request to be transferred to another judge as a result of his reputation.
Schroeder faced a great deal of public scrutiny in 2021 at the Kyle Rittenhouse trial, with many claiming that the judge was giving Kyle favorable treatment.

Okay, so we now know who Judge Bruce Schroeder is, and we’ve looked at why he is now in the public’s eye, but is Judge Bruce Schroeder related to Ricky Schroder?
Well, first we need to learn about Ricky.
Ricky Schroder is a US actor and filmmaker who was active in films from 1979 up until 2016.
Schroder has appeared in a wide range of movies and TV shows, including such hits as NYPD Blue, Scrubs, Crimson Tide, Get Him to the Greek, 24, Robot Chicken, The Andromeda Strain, Too Close to Home, and much more besides.
Ricky won a Golden Globe award for his role in The Champ in 1979.
He won the New Star of the Year Award.
He has also been nominated for Young Artist Awards, Screen Actor’s Guild Awards, and the San Diego Film Festival award for Best Film in 2004 with Black Cloud, of which he was the director.

In 2020, Ricky would contribute hundreds of thousands of dollars towards the bail of Kyle Rittenhouse, which cost $2 million.

Is Judge Bruce Schroeder related to Ricky Schroder?
As you can see, considering the controversy of the Kyle Rittenhouse case, and the fact that Ricky would donate so much money to Kyle’s bail fund, many have questioned whether Bruce is related to Ricky.
Well, despite sharing the same last name, if you look at how the name is spelled, you’ll see that Bruce and Ricky spell their last name differently, despite it being pronounced the same. Therefore, Judge Bruce Schroeder and Ricky Schroder are NOT related to each other and have no real connections to each other at all.
