She grew up loving horses and made it her mission to save as many as possible.
As well as this, she is an award-winning equestrian.
In The Jill & Tony Story, a documentary about Vandenberg Curtis and her husband, Tony, they discover the sheer number of horses being sent to slaughterhouses to be killed for human consumption overseas.
In addition, the documentary follows their journey as a couple rescuing their 400th horse, as they share stories about Tony’s acting career and Jill’s passion for horses.
The couple bought 40 acres of desert outside of Las Vegas.
She worked alongside her husband, Curtis, to transform the barren desert into a nurturing ranch where hundreds of horses are now sent to be saved.
What is Jill Vandenberg doing now?
After Tony’s death in 2010, Vanderburg-Curtis became Curtis-Webber after marrying Todd Webber.
In 2019, she sold the Nevada horse ranch she shared with her previous husband, and moved to Deadwood, South Dakota, with Webber.
She continues her work at a 25-acre ranch in Deadwood, and they operate a horse-drawn stagecoach that runs down Mainstreet.
Curtis-Webber manages the teams, whilst Webber acts as a tour guide.
Curtis-Webber commemorated the 10-year anniversary of Curtis’ passing with a hike up to the historic mount cemetery that overlooks Deadwood.

He changed his will about five months prior to his death and intentionally disinherited all his children with no explanation. In his will, Tony acknowledges the existence of his children.
