Despite his simple last name, Dye is a multicultural blend of heritages—as he found out when he took an online DNA test on his show.
It turns out he’s Spanish, German, Jewish, and French Canadian.
After he graduated from Kentwood high, he enrolled at Green River Community College.
He wasn’t a fan of college life, but he figured it was something he was supposed to be doing before he went out in the world and tried to get a “real job.”
Not too long after he enrolled, he dropped out. With his heart set on trying to pursue a career he would actually enjoy, he started studying stand-up comedy.
He’d watch hours and hours of DVD footage, and he was absolutely convinced that this was going to be what he did for the rest of his life.

Dye has a golden-doodle (it’s a cross between a golden retriever and a poodle) dog named Bub, who he calls his best friend.

Jeff is the first to admit that as a comedian, at first, he was really, really bad.

Janice Lee Dye
One of those really encouraging friends and family members was Jeff’s sister, Janice.
Growing up, she’d always had her baby brother’s back.
She bailed him out of trouble, picked him up when he was lost—or in trouble again—and always helped him out if he was somewhere he wasn’t meant to be.
She was the ultimate big sister, according to Dye, and she passed away in December 2015 after a car accident in Oregon.
Following the family’s tragic loss, Jeff took to social media with a heartfelt post about his big sister and how he had never known a world without her in it.
He explained that being her younger brother meant he never had a conflict with her and always felt protected.
He called Janice his hero and said that his heart was broken into “a million pieces.”

Wife/Girlfriend
Jeff Dye is not married, however, the comedy entertainer used to date Becky Lynch—yes, the wrestler. He and the WWE superstar dated throughout 2018 but broke up near the end of the year. Early the following year, she was snapped out and about with fellow wrestling pro Seth Rollins.
The pair had a baby together in 2020.
Dye once joked that he liked dating women who had kids.
In his standup spiel, he explained, “they’re already going to all the places I wanna go.”
He also mused that dating single moms seemed like a good idea because “I like kids, I like women, and babies seem like [they’d be] a lot of work.”

In late 2020, Jeff Dye was caught on camera smooching reality TV celebrity Kristin Cavallari of Laguna Beach and The Hills fame.

Friends of Dye and Cavallari tried to set the record straight, saying they’re just having fun.
