Career

John has an incredible acting resume that stems back to 2006.

His first major role that brought in a relatively decent income was in 2007, when he had a recurring role on the TV series “Lincoln Heights.” The show was on the air for two additional seasons, but Keston was not recast.

For the following two years, Keston had minor roles in TV shows but nothing significant.

In 2009, John landed a decent role in the series “24,” a TV series that was on the air for nearly one decade. He appeared as Ngozi in three episodes and played alongside Kiefer Sutherland.

The following year continued to be filled with small roles in “My Life in Facebook,” “Lie to Me,” and “The Comedian at the Friday.”

2011 was a successful year for the emerging actor. John landed a significant role in the television series “The Pacellis.” Keston played a character for six episodes alongside American actor Mark Kelly.

This was followed by another part in the American television series, “Army Wives.”

2013 was a busy year for him as he worked endlessly on adding many different projects to his resume. This included a role in “The Retrieval,” “Southland,” “Elegy for a Revolutionary,” “The Garden: A Creation Story,” “Switched at Birth,” and “Trapped.”

While his resume was growing and strengthening, his roles were rather insignificant, so it was crucial for John, at this point in his career, to make bigger moves and take on much more prominent roles.

As an emerging actor, it’s never a bad thing for actors to take on as many roles as possible, but only landing minor roles with minimal camera time could potentially jeopardize any acting career.

Keston would have been aware of this, so it appears he took steps to make changes to his career in 2014, nearly one decade after beginning his career.

In 2014, this really took a turn with his role as “Chris” in the drama sci-fi film “The Perfect 46.” In the same year, Kesto portrayed “Chris Duncan” in the television film “Broken Things.” The film was a thriller, and John had a leading role as one of the main characters.

He finished the year with three more projects, the most significant being “Adam and Jamaro,” an American television series that commenced in 2014. He played Jamero’s character in 4 episodes of season 4.

Once again, in 2015, Keston landed roles in television series, including “Golden California,” “Yotlungerdal,” and “Blood & Oil.” It wasn’t his worst year but definitely not his best yet. But the following year had a lot to offer the talented actor.

In 2016, he appeared in the uber-successful television series “NCIS,” a television series that aired in 2003. This was followed by roles in “Vinyl,” “The Trust,” and “Central Intelligence.”

He had an impressive 2017 where he juggled several television and film projects. The year started with a role in “America; I Too.” He played an officer in the short film.

Keston also had roles in “Chicago Fire,” “After The End (voice),” and “Shameless.” John also worked as a voiceover actor on a few video game projects that year, including Fortnite, Dropzone, and Guild Wars 2: Path of Fire.

In 2018, Keston performed in “Bosch,” “Adam Ruins Everything,” “The Pacific War in Color,” “Suspense,” and “Starwars Resistance.”

By this point in John’s career, he garnered over three dozen acting and voiceover credits on his resume and many more in the counting.

The next years were game changers for his career with significant roles in hit movies, including “Jurassic World: Camp Cretecaous (voice),” “Dragons: The Nine Realms (voice),” “The Owl House (voice),” “The Mighty Ones (voice),” “In The Dark.”
