The Origin Story

Michael was born on 28th August 1984 in Long Island, New York.

He was a very private person, so very few details of his early life have been made public.

We do not even know the names of his parents or whether there were any siblings. Nor do we know where he went to school or if he went to college or university.

Music Career

Enation, the band first got together in 2004 and was formed by Michael, Amber Sweeney, and Michael’s brothers, Jonathon Jackson and Richard Lee.

Daniel Sweatt came on later as the bass player, and Amber left in 2005.

Michael was the band’s leading music producer from 2004 to 2011, and during that time, they released several albums to varying degrees of success.

Enation’s album World in Flight was released in 2008 and enjoyed a high level of success due to the hit song Feel This.

Feel This gained a boost in popularity when it was featured in the finale of the fifth season of One Tree Hill.

Michael’s then-wife, Bethany Joy Lenz, collaborated with the band to sing the vocals on the show’s 5th season finale, and it would seem this was the recognition the band needed to push them into the limelight.

Enation became quite well-known, and they managed to get their music featured in quite a few popular live TV shows, including The View and Big Morning Buzz Live.

The increased exposure only did great things for their fame and popularity.

Michael left the band after releasing their album “My Ancient Rebellion” in 2011.

Despite being more well-known for his keyboarding musical career, Galeotti dabbled in acting before his fame as a member of Enation.

His first foray into acting was in 2004, in the Disney-owned show Jersey.

Michael’s acting career seems to have stalled during his time with Enation, as he did not have any other acting roles while he was an active member of the band.

Marriage, Divorce, and Children of Michael Galeotti

Michael’s marriage to Bethany Joy Lenz lasted seven years, from 2005 to 2012.

Michael and Bethany first met in late 2005, and after a whirlwind romance, they were married within a month.

Unlike their nuptials, the couple took their time having their first child, but they eventually welcomed their first daughter, Maria Rose Galeotti, to the world after six years of marriage.

Unfortunately, after the birth of their baby, the marriage did not last long, and they divorced the following year.

The reason for the divorce is not clear, as both parties kept their private lives very private, even on social media.

However, Bethany announced on her blog that she and Michael were getting divorced but would be keeping the reasons behind their split private.

According to Bethany, the main reason for her announcement was that she did not want her fans getting confused about her reverting back to using her maiden name.

The two did remain friends for the sake of their daughter up until Michael’s death on 11 Jan 2016.

Death

How did Michael Galeotti died?

Michael was reportedly suffering from a few different health problems leading up to the day of his death and visited a doctor for tests just a week before he died.

When the tests came back, Michael was told he had hypertension, diverticulitis, and blood cholesterol.

He spent some hours in the hospital but was discharged under his own cognizance before heading home.

During the next week, Michael was unresponsive to text messages and phone calls and was not seen leaving his Glendale during that time.

A worried friend decided to check up on him, but it was too late by then.

Michael Galeotti passed away due to his health complications and was pronounced dead on 11th January 2016.

An autopsy would later reveal that Michael had succumbed to atherosclerotic heart disease, and no drugs or illegal substances were found in his system.

Atherosclerosis is a plaque buildup in your arteries caused by smoking, diabetes, high blood pressure, obesity, and lack of exercise. It often develops over time and shows no symptoms until you have a heart attack or stroke.

There are some unconfirmed rumors that Giolatti had begun abusing alcohol during the last few months of his life, reportedly due to his challenges dealing with the divorce.

Some unconfirmed reports say he was arrested quite a few times for DUI.
