The late, great Dale Earnhardt and his first wife, Brenda Jackson, welcomed a son into the world on October 10, 1974.

That son was Ralph Dale Earnhardt Junior, and he was born in Mooresville, North Carolina.

True to family tradition, Dale Jr was raised in Kannapolis, North Carolina, a town most famous for the NASCAR racing family that calls it home.

Dale Earnhardt Junior was known to love the faster things in life, even from a young age, and he would go on to spend his career earnings on high-octane thrills like his own personal Lear jet, a collection of cars from historic races, plus a love for the team formerly known as the Washington Redskins.

Fortunately, Dale Jr’s thirst for fancy things was easily manageable, thanks to a career that has helped him amass impressive financial earnings.

As the former man behind the wheel of No.88 at the NASCAR Xfinity Series, and the No.3 Chevrolet Camaro at the Late Model Stock Tour, Dale Jr has dominated enough titles to earn the big bucks.

As part of an American racing dynasty, NASCAR’s Most Popular Driver of all time, double Daytona 500 winner, racing team owner, and NBC NASCAR analyst can afford to fly from coast to coast in a private jet.

He could also afford a big luxury wedding when he tied the knot with Amy Reimann on New Year’s Eve 2016 at a vineyard in Lexington, North Carolina.

Dale Jr. and Amy welcomed their first baby, a little girl named Isla Rose, in April of 2018, and welcomed a baby sister for Isla, who they named Nicole Lorraine, in 2020.

A year after the birth of Isla Rose, Dale Junior’s mom—Brenda Lorraine—died of cancer. While she had never been a race car driver herself, she had worked as an accountant in the racing industry since 2004.

Taylor Nicole Earnhardt is the daughter of Dale Earnhardt and his third wife, Teresa.

Taylor is the youngest of all Dale’s children, and was born on December 20, 1988, in Mooresville, North Carolina.

Much like every generation of Earnhardt stock, Taylor was raised in Kannapolis, where her parents had a sprawling farm that stretched out around 300 acres.

It was here that the young Taylor developed her love of horses.

As she would say later, she came from a family that lived on 800 horsepower—but the young brunette only required one.

Taylor’s mom, Teresa, had met and married Dale in the ’80s following his divorce from Brenda Lorraine Gee.

Earnhardt’s father was still a NASCAR driver at that point. Known as Ironhead, he had already cemented himself in the NASCAR Hall of Fame and earned his place as one of the greatest NASCAR drivers in history.

As the son of legendary Ralph Earnhardt, Dale had made the family name proud by taking out 76 Winston Cups, 4 Winston 500 races, and a Daytona 500 win.

Taylor was just 13 years old when her father died in a motor vehicle crash on the last lap of the Daytona 500.

Ralph Dale Earnhardt—known most popularly as the racing legend Dale Earnhardt—was once married to Latane Brown. He was 17 at the time, and the pair had a son named Kerry.

After Dale and Latane divorced, he married his second wife, Brenda Lorraine Gee.

Dale and Brenda—who was the daughter of NASCAR car builder Bobby Gee—had two children together: Dale Jr. and his older sister Kelley King Earnhardt. The pair divorced in 1975.

Whilst Brenda initially got full custody of her children, she lost everything in a fire when they were young. With Dale refusing to pay child support, she could no longer provide for them, and agreed to let them live with their father until she got back on her feet.

Dale—who by this stage had met a new woman—sent his son to military boarding school. Kelley quit high school and followed, and the pair eventually moved back to be with their mom.

Dale Senior was dating Teresa Houston at this point, and the pair tied the knot in 1982. They welcomed their only child—a daughter named Taylor Nicole Earnhardt—in 1988.

So there you have it: Taylor Earnhardt and Dale Jr are half-siblings.
